Pipe Dream Clog?
Things have been picking up out here in the midwest. This past Thursday and Friday were my weekend, and for the first time in a long time I got the hell out of Lawrence and into the country. Lee and I went to visit her mom in Payola to see her rediculously beautiful garden. There were more flowers there than I had known existed and birds of colors I had never seen. Lee and I took a walk around the nearby lake and had a moment wih the biggest owl I have ever seen as well. He was even nice enough to fly over us so we could scope his wingspan. It was just what I needed, just some road between myself and the anxieties I've rroused in my life. I'm meeting with Margo, the recruited for the Virgin Islands job, on Wednesday now. I got to talk to her briefly at the Merc yesterday and it looks like I'm in. It also looks like Lee can come and live in the employee housing as well. Dad's going to give me some sales lessons I can use out there so I'm confident I can make some exta money on comissions. More and more this feels like just the step I need to take. Six month down there and then I'm thinking a visit to my family out east. Also, I just found out that TODAY is my last day at the Merc, not the twenty-eighth. Not a bad thing by any means, I've picked up a few shifts later in the week anyway, but I'll have to find some extra income in the meantime. Hopefully Quintiles will have something for me to do.
