F- for Bad Blogging Habbits/It's Official

It's official. Cody, Nick and I got the job at Diamonds Int. down in the Virgin Islands and we're flying out around June 20th. I've got a bit under a month to prepare completely to move out of the continental U.S.. Fucking sweet. That means it's everbody's favorite time: LIST TIME!!!

To Do
1. I have no god damned money. I managed to continue working at the Merc through the 11th of June, which should get me the rent money and maybe some extra on the side, but methinks it's time to sell my shit. Playstation and games will fetch $150 or more on eBay. I can trade some clothes to ATC for some new summer threads. Other assets include a barely used 20" TV, a glass-topped wicker desk and filing cabinet, my beloved coffee table, a couch, and some books. Hopefully with all that and some help I can get my ticket.

2. If I don't get my wisdom teeth out soon I think they'll mess my smile. I should be making an appointment on tuesday, so hopefully I wont be in too much pain. Some people seem to have a really hard time of it and some don't at all. I really hope I'm the latter. Not too much pain, get to save the codone for later, don't have to miss the few shifts I've picked up at work.

3. Giving my car back to my dad to whom it belongs in name anyway. I need to clean the muthafuckin thing. Luckily, Cody has access to a wonderful industrial-strength cleaner machine, and I hope to get it spotless this next week. I didn't treat her as good as I should have and now she's leaving. One day I'd like to apoligize. At the very least I hope she finds a good home.

4. I need to talk to the respective people and orginizations to whom I owe money and start making up some concrete payment plans to get rid of this paltry debt. Bank of Blue Valley - about $200; US Bank - about $800; Cingular - about $200, David - about $300, Cody - about $400; Loan People - about $80. One day in the far future I also hope to repay the various rental establishments to whom I owe money. Pretty much all of them actually. Long story short: I'm really irresponsible with money. This will change.

5. I need to hit up the post office and see about getting my passport updated before I leave. I don't "need" it to get to the Virgin Islands and work, but if I want to skip over to the BVI for instance, or if I need to escape this country when shit hits the fan, I want a current ticket out of here. Go to Australia or Canada or the Netherlands.

6. Cody and I are getting a storage unit as soon as possible and I'm going to move as much as I can into it this week. I'm sick of our messy fucking house and the poison in it. It'll feel so good to rip all of my shit out of there. I'll have to take the door of to get my couch back out. *shrug*

7. I need to talk to the Davids and then promptly talk to my landlords directly afterwards. If the lease doesn't automatically renew, then I'm just outta there and the Davids can renew if they want. And I tell you there better be a minimum of whining because $240 a month each is NOT bad for Lawrence, especially not a 3 1/2 bedroom house on Rhode Island. I will remain unmoved. If the lease has renewed then we'll try to sublett the place, or cut a deal with the Davids and they can find a subletter they want at their leisure.

I suppose that mostly everything I need to take care of before I leave. I'm sure I left some stuff out, but I'll remember. Hopefully one of the banks in the VI will give me an account with checks and plastic so I don't have to send money orders to pay off my debt. If nothing else I can cash my checks down there, give it to Cody or Lee and have them use their card. It'll all work out. So 6-8 months in the VI (I posit an extention to 8 months because that would have us down there through the hight of peak season), and then I'd like to go visit my family out east. After that who the hell knows.
