Well, I started this carnival season with a BANG!! Not one, not two, but THREE Twelveth night parties were attended last evening. King Cakes, Fabulous Friends and Neighbors and visiting various homes in the 70119, it was a lovely time all around. I hope you had a wonderful King's Day and are ready for a fabulous Carnival Season!!

Had a nice little date night with my sweetie last night. We had oysters and wings and salad and beer at the brewhouse. On a whim decided to buy tickets to see Toots and the Maytals at the House of Blues for tonight, so really, two date nights back-to-back! I just dropped a 4 1/2 pounds pork butt in the crockpot with some bell pepper, onion and a couple of small fresh poblanos from my garden. I'm makin' some crock-pot couchon-de-lait to eat while watching the Saints game tomorrow.
