We are finally in the perfect weather time of year here in NOLA. It isn't even April yet, but we have been having some perfect April-style low-humidity weather, the mornings in the 60's and the highs not more that 81. I have been a planting fool, pulling out the dead stuff and filing in with some flowers, and some herbs, i am trying the upside-down tomato thing again, but in a different part of the yards where it should get more even sunshine. Last year I got exactly 5 tomatoes off of my cherry tomato plant, but I think it was in a bad spot.

MA has been doing some more painting on doors and such, the left over tasks from the big renovation job. It seems like that was SO long ago (thakfully). And it's over and we aren't too mentally scarred.

I have posted some more Mardi Gras pictures on my flickr and also a few from our walk in the Barataria Preserve of Jean Lafitte National Park. the irises weren't blooming yet, but it was a lovely day in the swamps. Our friend KC was in from Tallahassee so it was a perfect excuse to trek on Bayou Coquille. enjoy!
