a bouquet of awesome
Trent Reznor is awesome, and also a very smart man. The new Nine Inch Nails album, The Slip, is only available for free download. I haven't gotten a chance to really listen to it - mostly I just had it on when I was falling asleep last night - but it's, you know, Nine Inch Nails.
You know who else is awesome? Lyn-Z is awesome.
I WANT TO BEEEEEE HER. She gets to ROCK OUT in front of a PURPLE TENTACLED UNICORN. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
Also awesome is the way that my writing mojo has been sparked lately. I'm blaming bandom entirely, as it's the common thread between all the stories I thought would be short little ficlets but have all quickly expanded. See, I didn't used to be the kind of writer who wrote five or seven or fifteen thousand word one-offs. I considered four thousand words a long effort. But lately every bandom writing whim I've indulged has just...developed. For instance, right now I'm working on a crackfic (that me and maybe three other people will enjoy, but whatever, I get to write awesome things like Mikey Way at football practice and MCR battling a wannabe supervillain) and despite my intention for it to be around 2500 words, it is currently more than twice that and still going.
As people who IM me know, I keep whining about this and wondering why the stories don't dieeee already, but really? I'm kind of delighted. I haven't had this much fun writing fic in a while. :D
