Every morning as I leave for work I make the rounds of all the boys, saying goodbye to them and wishing them a good day. This morning, I found Micah sitting on my bed reading a book, sans cochlear implants.
"Why don't you have your implants on?" I asked him, exaggerating the words so he could read my lips more easily.
"I'm reading," he responded.
I gave him a quizzical look.
"I just want some peace and quiet!" he said, with mock exasperation.
I can understand that.
