Micah Update
Micah has been participating in a long-term NIH study on pediatric deafness. As part of this study, each year he undertakes a comprehensive battery of testing that evaluates his progress in speech and language. And when I say comprehensive I mean soup to nuts-verbal skills, diction, comprehension, speech, language use, vocabulary, reading, etc., etc., etc.
This year's testing took place over the past couple weeks and this week we received the results: for the first time, Micah has tested into the bell curve for his age and grade!! Yay! He progressed the equivalent of one year and eleven months since last year's test. WooHoo!!
