My husband and I love feeding the birds. It's the perfect hobby for a couple of homebodies like we are, and it partners well with our affinity for gardening and lawn work. Outside the double windows next to my desk is a shepherd's hook with a thistle seed bird feeder. I have a beautiful view of the feeder, the yard, and the gardens from here. Goldfinches, chipping sparrows, and house finches frequently dine there, along with the occasional goofy, clumsy mourning dove that can barely fit onto the bottom tray.
