I'm still here...
...hoping to get back to posting more regularly. Been busy, reworking my business website, getting it moved over to Wordpress so I can add an organizing blog and in general have greater ability for interaction, commerce, etc. Stay tuned!
Yahooty! sahlah is coming for a visit next week with her mom and we'll get to spend a whole day together. I feel like we've been friends practically forever, even though I've only known her via LJ. I'm so excited I can barely stand it!
Big news at Casa de Shaner: another family has taken up residence here with us:
See that nest there in the center? Yeah, I didn't put that there when I made this front door wreath... Mr. & Mrs. Robin Redbreast added it over the course of the last few weeks. They've tried before and were discouraged by the activity and relocated to the shrubs or one of the hanging baskets. I figured they'd do the same this year, since our mail slot is in the front door, the daily newspaper gets delivered on the front porch, and with three human household residents, somebody goes in and out of that door at least a dozen times a day.
But here's the status as of 10 a.m. this morning:
...the second egg was added sometime between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and I expect this number will double over the next few days. *sigh* If they're cool with the location, we're cool with the location.
