Everyone is sick....

So, being the normally healthy person I am, I had the wonderful idea of taking NO precautions whatsoever to prevent myself from getting sick. I felt a scratchy throat coming on, what do I do? Hang out with a friend who has bronchitis. Tuesday I feel really crappy, what do I do? Instead of going straight home after classes I walked around in the sleet/snow/freezing rain to get to the museum, go to my adviser, to class, and to lunch with people, all of which with a friend who has the flu... I'm smart.

Needless to say, that night I had a fever so high that I was hallucinating and with an art history paper on my mind I thought my blankets were slabs of marble being lain on top of me and Leonardo da Vinci was pissed at me because I wasn't doing anything with the marble. That wasn't a dream... I spent almost the entire night in a panic and crying- God bless my poor poor roommates for dealing with me...

Finally by 6 in the morning I came to my senses, and was in an insane sweat, so I had all the windows open in the apartment. It was snowing out... Finally Kelly woke up and explained that I was only making myself sicker, so she proceeded to take care of me all day. Seriously, she's the best. She put a bunch of blankets on me, but put an icy rag on my head so I wouldn't be too hot, then she went out at 8 in the morning to walk to the store and buy me orange juice, medicine, and cough drops. Every time I woke up throughout the day there was a new glass of orange juice next to me and a fresh rag for my head. I couldn't eat all day (which for all of you who know me is a definite indicator that I'm actually really sick), but she kept offering to go out and get me soup or ice cream. Kelly, you're super!

As for today, I feel a lot better. I still think I'm on the verge of death, but at least I was able to get out of bed! I just need to make sure I'm better by tomorrow- State Patty's Day weekend- I can't miss it again!! Not to mention it's three of my good friends' birthdays...

And as for everyone else who is just as sick (or sicker, poor Chrys with her grapefruit tonsils...) I hope you all feel better!! And don't hang out with people with bronchitis or the flu... or play in the sleet...
