[The following is shared with all the Captains who attended Ukitake's meeting:
-Byakuya sent out three of his seated officers to perform an experiment for him. The result was that the limb cut off from the monster reacted as normal against the Sekkiseki, which is to say that they repelled each other.
...So how did the things get in?
-The officers found that the blood was corrosive (As Hitsugaya and Renji also found out).
-The officers observed that the monsters had a preference for ...eating Hollows, but would chase anything that got close enough. And liked to smash stuff. They didn't stick around long enough to see much else of use.]
