the final issue of Blue Beetle came out today. this greatly saddened me. it was such a fun series that still pulled off serious and engaging plots without resorting to cheap tricks like unnecessarily brutal violence (why, hello there, Teen Titans). it's the first series I started collecting from issue 1. now the only chance I'll have to read about ( Read more... )

even in cartoon format, Jaime Reyes continues to be awesome. it's just too bad that Blue Beetle is ending at issue 36. damned shame, too. that comic was great.

the best issue to date was probably #25. seriously, everyone in the supporting cast got their own Crowning Moment of Awesome.

somehow, I think Pia and Toyang will get a kick out of this.

watched Get Smart with Maan, Jayca and Dwen this afternoon. that movie was funny. I think they were able to squeeze in all the classic jokes from the old series. Anne Hathaway as Agent 99 was a huge leap from The Princess Diaries.
