After hearing of the baking talents of two of my alternates, I decided to try for myself. Apparently, I have some skill in making cookies, though I've only had one opinion so far. I shall have find some others to provide feedback...

"Cookies? Oooh. What kind?"

"Why, whatever kind you'd like. I have some chocolate chips ones left over, though."

[vicioussweetie]

"Chocolate!" Her eyes light up at the idea.

"Oh...but I shouldn't. Um. I like peanut butter cookies."

[ninja_doctor]

"Well, if you insist on denying yourself chocolate, I can have some peanut butter cookies ready in a few hours."

[blindbandit]

"They're not those crazy nexus cookies, are they? The kind that I hear do really weird things to you?" She looks suspicious.

[ninja_doctor]

"Oh no, these are totally safe."

[blindbandit]

She thinks it over for a moment. "Alright, sure, I'll try one if you've got any handy."

[ninja_doctor]

"I have a few chocolate chip left over. If you'd like anything else, you'll have to wait a while."

[vicioussweetie]

"Hello again!" She waves.

[ninja_doctor]

"Why, hello Ali!" Kabuto smiled. "Just give me a minute -- I have your batch in a tin. Any requests?"

[vicioussweetie]

"No, which is weird. All my friends must have been busy yesterday. It's very strange. Though I know the Jaegers always like gingerbread. Then again, they eat paste, so..."

((...>.> Okay, why does LJ tell me everything else on Ali's flist has new posts, but not this journal? That's just WEIRD.))

[ninja_doctor]

"A shame. Well, I can make some gingerbread easily enough." Kabuto walks over and picks up the promised tin. "Here are yours, in any case."

Toph returns

Toph wanders back to where Kabuto is staying. If he looks closely, he might notice cookie crumbs around her mouth. "Hey Kabuto, got another batch of those cookies ready yet?" she calls out, eager for more.

Kabuto smiles and gets a tin of cookies. A large tin of cookies. "Will this be enough for all of you, do you think?"

She takes the tin, somewhat surprised by the weight. "Yeah, this should be enough. And thanks. If I can ever repay you, just come looking for me."

"It's no trouble at all."

He smiles and takes out a small bag with a few cookies in it. "Oh, and these are for the trip."

[oh_what_a_story]

"Ooh! Ooh!" comes the excited outburst from a pale-skinned, blue-haired woman in her late teens or early twenties (it's hard to tell) whose bubbly, effervescent personality shows in her energetic movements and expressive features. "Ali said you're learning to make cookies?"

"Why, yes I am. Would you like to try some?" He smiles

[oh_what_a_story]

"Absolutely! Do you know how to do Russian tea cakes? Or snickerdoodles? Or chocolate cherry chip?"

[ninja_doctor]

"Not yet, but I'm sure I can learn. Any preference for one of those over the others?"
