After hearing of the baking talents of two of my alternates, I decided to try for myself. Apparently, I have some skill in making cookies, though I've only had one opinion so far. I shall have find some others to provide feedback...

"Cookies? Oooh. What kind?"

"Why, whatever kind you'd like. I have some chocolate chips ones left over, though."

[vicioussweetie]

"Chocolate!" Her eyes light up at the idea.

"Oh...but I shouldn't. Um. I like peanut butter cookies."

[ninja_doctor]

"Well, if you insist on denying yourself chocolate, I can have some peanut butter cookies ready in a few hours."

[vicioussweetie]

"I only deny myself things for the very best of reasons, I assure you." She smiles, folding her hands on her stomach. "Now I need to think of something to do to repay your kindness."

[ninja_doctor]

Kabuto nods and smiles. "There's no need to repay me, I'm happy to have a chance to practice making treats."

[vicioussweetie]

"I should introduce you to Aya. You're soulmates, I swear." She grins. "Just so long as you two don't turn on me."

[ninja_doctor]

"Certainly! I love meeting new people." He smiles brightly. "Believe me, you have nothing to worry about."

[vicioussweetie]

"She's already trying to guilt trip me into a baby shower. I wouldn't want her to tempt you down that dark path."

[ninja_doctor]

"Well, I'm sure she has a very valid point." Kabuto smiled. "She might well be able to convince me to join her."

[vicioussweetie]

"Oh no! I have surely doomed myself." She heaves a great sigh. "Whatever shall I do?"

[ninja_doctor]

"Well," he said, mock-gravely, "it would seem you have no choice but to have a baby shower."

[vicioussweetie]

She pouts. "But I want to pick out my own things for the baby! Can't I have a tea party or something?"

[ninja_doctor]

"You don't trust your friends to pick out nice things?" He pouts as well, then grins. "You're always welcome to have a tea party, but I fear it won't be sufficient distraction."

[vicioussweetie]

"It's not that, it's just...I have a lot of friends in the Nexus. And if I let them all think they have some say in how my baby is raised, I'll never see Alured again and he will be the most confused child ever."

[ninja_doctor]

"Well, you'll just have to be firm and raise your child yourself. But nonetheless, there are times you will need help. Just explain and I'm sure everyone will understand."
