the spring fun begins

i feel really moody this morning. maybe i'll feel better after a shower. i need to be in a good mood because i'm going on a little road trip to western mass with my friend adam. i doubt he wants someone in the car with him being bitchy and cranky. i know i wouldn't. so yeah, i'm going on this road trip, and i'll be back on sunday. it should be nice to get out of here for bit. my roommate katy just went home to new hampshire for her friend's bridal shower, and she's coming back sunday, too. so this is the weekend to get the hell outta providence!!!

last night we had a bonfire on the risd beach in barrington. quite a few people ended up there. it was fun because we had to be so sneaky about the whole thing. katy, paul, 2 adams, and i were the first people to get there, so we were the ones who had to kind of test out the whole thing. there is someone that lives at the risd beach, basically to keep people from sneaking in. so we had to avoid that house. we walked across a large field in the darkness and set up our little bonfire on the beach. soon christian (who had the idea in the first place) and some other people showed up. and the wind was blowing really hard so everyone had to crowd around the sticks to block the wind. i didn't think we would get much of a fire going, but people kept working on it, and it eventually built up pretty well. various food products were cooked over the fire. it was....interesting, haha. i was given a piece of steak in a bun...and it was very sandy and burnt, but hey, i was hungry so i ate it. so we pretty much just all sat around drinking beer and staring at the fire. and conveniently, the police didn't show up until we were already talking about leaving. and most of the people there were over 21 so it was no big deal. they just said they had to investigate it because we had all our cars parked in a row off the road. so they were giving us tips on how to keep from getting caught, and then we all just packed up and left. i must say it was good times.

i see more fun times ahead, now that the weather is finally getting nice. we've talked to the other girls in our building, and we all agree that we should have lots of cookouts and parties in the backyard before we have to move out. it should be pretty crazy. too bad there's the whole schoolwork thing to get in the way.
