Knitting practice
So, several people have asked about my knitting - which I'm just learning to do, so be gentle! I started in May, I think. I'm making 100% cotton wash/dishcloths because they help me practice my technique and are useful when done.
After a few very lame starts, I've now finished three that aren't completely hopeless.
I've been using cheap, but rather nice, stripey yarn which obscures the patterns a little bit.
A "flame" pattern
A "Christmas tree lot" pattern
My favourite, a "falling leaf" pattern (I like this autumnal-coloured yarn)
Unfortunately, it doesn't photograph all that well, but there are leaves in there. A detail, perhaps a little clearer? I can't really tell.
I've seen a pattern for a peacock feather lace shawl that I'm dying to be good enough to make. Maybe in five years?
