Questions and revelations....

Because it greatly amused me, I did this thing, swiped from seiberwing:

Do you straighten your hair everyday?
No, it straightens all by its little lonesome.

Do you worry about the size of your boobs?
Um...I would do this why? The only thing I worry about when it comes to my boobs is whether or not there's anything growing in them that shouldn't be growing in them. Then again, I don't even worry about that too much, given that my family has zero history of breast cancer.

What's your favorite girly magazine?
Aren't girly magazines the ones where the girls in them are nekkid? If I want to see a nekkid female, I'll take off my clothes and scare myself silly, thanks.

Would you kill for chocolate?
Er...no. I would kill for food if I was literally starving to death, but chocolate wouldn't be my first choice. The nearest deer to me at the time might have something to worry about, though. Far more nutritious, even though I don't like venison.

Jeans or Skirt?
Either. Skirts more in the summer because they're cooler and generally more comfortable. Jeans in the winter because they're warmer.

Do you wear clothes/shoes/jewelry that's uncomfortable?
Why on Earth would I do that?

Did you ever spend all day/night getting pretty for a guy?
No. It's impossible to make me pretty in a male-attracting sense, anyway, so why bother?

Would you leave the house without makeup on?
I do every single day.

On a scale of 1-10, how fun is shopping?
Depends on what I'm shopping for. Clothes/shoes/typical girly things? Pretty much a 1, unless I'm in exactly the right mood for it, at which time I consider it rather fun to hop from Ross to TJ Maxx to JC Penney to...well, you get the idea...and spend all day doing it. Now shopping for computer gizmos? Always way a 10. :D

Are you spoiled?
I spoil myself, yes.

Do you think lipgloss is the best?
The best what?

Do you freak out if you miss your favorite show?
I haven't watched TV much since about 1995ish and at all since 2002. Other than very recently keeping up with Lost online (A Saturday evening tradition, apparently), which I can watch at any time I want. So it's impossible to "miss" it.

Do you yell a lot?
No. I never yell.

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Put it this way: I'm at work at 8:00. I generally haul myself (unwillingly) out of bed at around 7:10 or 7:15 and I have a half-hour drive to work. You do the math. Today, I didn't get out of bed until 7:20. Still made it to work on time. Get up, get dressed, brush teeth, brush hair, off I go. That's the benefit of showering before bed. MORE SLEEP! :D

Do you wear sweatpants/pajama pants to school/work?
No. That's pushing it even for Durango, where even the lawyers wear jeans. Of course, if I'm working at home for the day...

Do accessories make the outfit?
Make the outfit what?

Do you like skater boys?
In a maternal sort of way, maybe, depending on the boy in question...

Is pink truly the best color in the world?
Well, it looks really good on frostymook... Looks horrid on me, though. But I have nothing against the color except, apparently, when it's plastered all over female cartoon robots...

Lip gloss a must?
What is this obsession with lip gloss? I haven't touched the stuff since I was, like, 12... And for those keeping score, that's 30 years ago for me. ;)

Relationship Status?
Single and deliriously happy about it, thank you.

Have you ever dressed unlike yourself to impress a guy?
No. What would be the point? If said guy ended up, by some miracle, being interested in me, he'd find out who "myself" is pretty darn quickly anyway. Really, I have no idea why girls/women feel any need at any time to pretend to be someone they aren't just to please a boy/man. Are they that desperate? Do they think boys/men are that stupid?

Gold or silver?
Silver.

Do you dress up too much for holidays?
No. If I had a reason to dress up, I would. I actually enjoy dressing to the nines, on occasion. But there's no reason to do so here. Formal nights on cruises, however...? That's fun sometimes...

Do you like wearing dresses?
Yes, but there isn't much occasion to do so here, as I said.

Do you write a lot of mushy love poems?
I don't write any kind of poem. I royally suck at poetry. I have been known to write mushy love prose, however. Usually starring robots. *snicker*

On a scale of 1-10, how much do guys confuse you?
Zero. Guys don't confuse me at all. They're generally pretty straight-forward, pretty WYSIWYG. Women, on the other hand, often confuse the hell out of me. See, for instance, my answer to the "Have you ever dressed unlike yourself to impress a guy?" question...

What makeup could you not live w/ out?
I can definitely live without all of it. Way more trouble than it's worth, IMO...

In other news...I have, my friends, found my perfect Thundercracker-channeling album. I was listening to it in the car on the way to work. It's Jars of Clay's latest, called "Good Monsters." Practically every song on the album screams, to me, Thundercracker at his interesting, introspective best. :) I really, REALLY like this album. I recommend it to anyone who sees TC even marginally the way that I do and who needs to do some channeling of him for fic purposes. Don't believe me? Lyric tidbits follow

"All the good monsters open their eyes,
to see the wasteland where the home fires rise,
and the people shouting why, why, why..."

"Not all monsters are bad, but the ones who are good
Never do what they could, never do what they could"

"I have no fear of drowning
It's the breathing that's taking all this work"

"Now all the demons look like prophets
And I'm living out every word they speak."

"Carry Me (I'm just a dead man, lying on the carpet, can't find a heart beat)
Make me breathe (I want to be a new man, tired of the old one, out with the old plan)"

"For all of your tears are the wages for things you have done
On all of those nights, spent alone in the darkness of your mind.
Give it up, let go.
These are things you were never meant to shoulder."

"I know the world can turn in different ways.
Most of the time we're simply hanging on.
But under the signs of how we all behave,
we might find the place where we belong..."

"Sometimes I can not forgive
and these days mercy cuts so deep,
If the world was how it should be, maybe I could get some sleep.
While I lay, I'd dream we're better, scales were gone and faces lighter,
When we wake we hate our brother, we still move to hurt each other."

"Sometimes I can close my eyes and all the fear that keeps me silent
Falls below my heavy breathing, what makes me so badly bent?
We all have a chance to murder, we all have the need for wonder.
We still want to be reminded that the pain is worth the plunder."

"Lookin for a place to hide, waitin' for the wind to rise,
My soul is waiting,
Lookin for a place to hide, I need a little peace tonight."

"You treat me like I'm blind, setting fires around houses on the hill,
But light gives heat.
You segregate my mind, burning crosses from your fears, your fears,
But light gives heat."

"There are times meant for breaking, and words to ignore,
And a bent to our souls when our skin is at war.
And if leaving were freedom, well, we'd both walk right out of that door."

Of course the problem with this is that...I'm now channeling Thundercracker. Ooops.
