yeah ive ventured out from friends only for some election talk in a public entry. because i want to. there's no reason why i should be ashamed of my opinions, regardless of who agrees or disagrees with them.
bush is the only one who can protect us against terrorists....
.....by sending our military to iraq so he can finish his daddy's business from the gulf war, even though there's no reason why they currently need to be there. and there never was a reason. and so many families have been torn apart and are being torn apart now because brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, lovers and friends are all overseas fighting a war based on lies.
and lets give the middle east a better society by conducting a 21st century spanish inquisition and attempting to force a political system on them unfamiliar to their society.
the beauty of a democracy is that we can openly speak these things and it's our constitutional right to do so. unfortunately this blundering idiot who can't speak a coherent sentence is trying to take those rights away from americans.....women's rights, homosexual rights, media censorship, right to free speech if it's in opposition to him....thanks patriot act. democracy is about choice. and unfortunately america has made a choice that threatens our right to make choices.
the message he professes to america's youth tells our generation we can settle for less and not work to our fullest potential because "you can be the president of the usa even if you're a c student"
this is the man who is the spokesperson for america, folks. one would think that after 4 years we'd learn our lesson and pick someone better. i'm not saying i think john kerry is fantastic, but at least it was an improvement. and honestly, my vote was more for edwards than anyone else. and at least i have the right to complain about it because unlike the greater population and majority of the electoral college, bush wasn't my choice. and at least i tried to do something about it. and kerry did get new jersey's electoral votes so in a sense, yes. my vote did count.
if you want to comment, i urge you to. whether you agree or disagree. because like i said, we have that freedom. and it's precious. and it scares me that since bush doesn't have to worry about getting re-elected now...well, he's taken steps backwards for our society already, and i don't see progress being made in the next 4 years, unfortunately. and the election was extremely close this year, which illustrates that america is very divided. i understand that there is always a certain level of division, but this is extreme. and can't possibly be a good thing.
god bless america. we need all the heavenly help we can get.
