yeah ive ventured out from friends only for some election talk in a public entry. because i want to. there's no reason why i should be ashamed of my opinions, regardless of who agrees or disagrees with them

its always been near this sort of division, it's just never been so adamant. its usually, "i like this guy better than that guy, but that guy is ok too." now its like, "that guy is giving us a one way trip to fuckityville."
i'm only slightly worried about the whole idea that he doesn't have to worry about getting re-elected because republicans still want to get elected afterwards so he doesn't want to give republicans a bad name.
but yea... bush is the fucking anti-christ. he is ushering in an era of the degradation of our society.
I am reposting what I put on Ivan's website.... because I feel it says it all very simply.
The one plus in this democracy is that we only have four more years to deal with this moron.... that's one of the best constitutional amendments ever created, because when we get someone like him in office, we know it wont last too long.
It's really sad to me that gays don't have equal rights, a woman can't choose what to do with her own body, and that I get paid only 70% of what a man gets paid to do the same labor. It doesn't seem like I live in a "land of the free" with those laws.
I think Jon Stewart said it best yesterday on his show.... (paraphrased) "as you can see from the electoral map, most of the country is red with the northeast blue, and that's where we'll most likely be for the next four years."
Here's to higher taxes, bigger budget deficits, more outsourcing, more war, and less freedoms. Cheers.
it's really sad he won. it's even more sad that our country is filled with enough idiots to think that he's a good president. i don't like kerry either, but he's 2093570497043 times better than bush. i honestly think half of the reason bush won was because he kept trying to make everything an issue of 9/11. i'm sorry, but it happened, GET THE FUCK OVER IT ALREADY. now by no means does that mean forget it, but nothing is going to make it better. life goes on, and it has for so many people, but he keeps pouring salt on those wounds so they never fully close. the war is ridiculous and is completely his fault, as it 9/11.
i think if people had actually taken the time to look at what has really happened in the last 4 years, and really understand the candidates' viewpoints, the election would've had a much better result.
