I finally found a trailer for the local dub of Rapunzel (shut up that's the name), and it - the dub - sounds like I'm going to hate it. I take it back: The Ouran dub isn't above Funimation standard and I don't know what the hell I heard that made me think that it was. It's that "probably the directing got screwed up somewhere" thing that seems to follow them around because the same VAs do so much better with other companies, but from what I could tell, Ouran isn't particularly well ( Read more... )

I've been meaning to do this since February. Jesus. Also, my 'L' key was sort of stuck, but became un-stuck in the process of... piecing together and re-writing parts of the two or three drafts I had of this.

As of the most recent episode, I vote that "Digimon: Data Squad" totally should be "Digimon: We Know Family Issues".

Wheee, snow. Except not, since the city looks so dreary in the winter, and if the snow stays, it won't be gone before mid-to-late April. Meh.

Also, I was totally right. Hikaru Hitachiin was voiced by the same guy who did Kouichi Kimura. (Insert you own twincest joke [here])

And for what it's worth, James' new VA apparently also did Sakano in the dub. And Sakano's English voice was the only one that actually was good.
