i have the calc 2 test from hell tomorrow and thought to myself, why not take a break from studying to get sucked fully into the computer box.

i love my computer, and since it is love your computer week, i feel the need to declare my undying love for the internet.  while most people are not going to attend any love your computer week events you should at least use this time to update your anti-virus definitions, and run the windows updates you have been avoiding (this includes you alex)
but seriously i was thinking the internet must be made of love, it is just a magical semi hypothetical network of information.

lets give some important computer history
the first programmable computers were textile machines in the 1800s
Gates and others contribute to the personal computer revolution in 70s/80s
Joseph Carl Robnett Licklider (went by Lick) came up with the crazy idea that led to the internet
Eventually Larry Page and Sergey Brin came up with google, making my life wonderful

Also at alex's suggestion, I checked out a new blog.  sex and the ivy.  very funny/interesting sex positive feminist from Harvard sharing her exploits, plus normal blog whining

http://www.sexandtheivy.com/

um so i just had a heart attack, cory scared the poo out of me.  i am sitting here innocently rocking out to some tracy chapman like a good lez (or empowered woman).  when cory sneaks slowly around me door, when i had no idea she was even home.  once my heart rate returns to normally, i will finish rocking out before attempting some more calc problems

There is fiction in the space between
The lines on your page of memories
Write it down but it doesn't mean
Youre not just telling stories
There is fiction in the space between
You and me

There is fiction in the space between
You and reality
You will do and say anything
To make your everyday life
Seem less mundane
There is fiction in the space between
You and me

Theres a science fiction in the space between
You and me
A fabrication of a grand scheme
Where I am the scary monster
I eat the city and as I leave the scene
In my spaceship I am laughing
In your remembrance of your bad dream
Theres no one but you standing

Leave the pity and the blame
For the ones who do not speak
You write the words to get respect and compassion
And for posterity
You write the words and make believe
There is truth in the space between

There is fiction in the space between
You and everybody
Give us all what we need
Give us one more sad sordid story
But in the fiction of the space between
Sometimes a lie is the best thing
Sometimes a lie is the best thing

also i discovered Cazwell, a gritty disco/electroclash/rapper, with a potty mouth to rival mine
