Jack and I exchanged wines while cooking dinner. I'm happy that my wino ways are influencing my room mates. Pat still prefers his whiskey.
Jack has just bought a Chianti. Apparently she spent awhile in the alkie section of the Woodman's looking for something different. It's a 2006 Straccali. It's a little sweeter than I am used to and not really dry at all, but it's still drinkable. It's light. I wouldn't buy it. I still prefer the Ecco D 2005 Chianti.
I've opened a Jacob's Creek 2005 merlot/cab sav. This was a mystery bottle from xmas. I have had this wine before. I love the red Jacob's Creek wines, and have bought them many times. This bottle was dry and was more robust than Jack's Chianti. Jack liked my cab sav and stated, "oh, I can taste the grapes. I really like that." Pat liked my wine as well. Clearly, this would classify as room mate bonding. We then proceded to converse about booze. Apparently Pat's fave bourbon is Knob's Creek. Yuck-o.
