The good thing is I sat my last exam on Wednesday and passed it.
The other good thing is 'my' History of Cinema Professor didn't flat out laugh in my face when I went up to him and asked him to be my 'tutor' for the final thesis I have to write to get my damn 3-year degree.
Especially considering I told him I would like to write it about "

The looks between them say more than all the words they exchanege.
I couldn't agree more. Being a Nick/Kevin slasher, I'm quite used to relying on looks most of the time, so, yes, that's definitely something I've noticed about Starsky and Hutch, too.
There's a gradual shift over the seasons, particularly season three, where Hutch is dropping hints
I think I've caught some of those hints when I first saw the season 3 episodes I've had the chance to watch so far, but now that you mention it, it's even clearer, I guess. I probably started to notice something like that in the "I Love You, Rosey Malone" episode and, in general, any episode in which Starsky has a girlfriend. Hutch simply struck me as painfully jealous and trying to act cool but pretty much failing, at least in the eyes of a slasher. ;)
And it will tear them apart and it will break our hearts to witness it, but it's time.
I love angst (how else would I have survived 5 seasons of "Queer As Folk"?! LOL), but I know my ♥ will definitely be ( ... )

I agree with you for the most part, especially on the fact that Hutch is DEFINITELY NOT David and having him go through that kind of struggles would probably send out-of-character vibes even to such a new fan as I am.
What I'm confused about is the breaking-up-over-a-woman part. Is that supposed the 'starting point' of the movie or what? Because, if that were the case, I have to say I agree with David and I don't even think it would destroy the essence of the S&H relationship. But then again I haven't seen the whole series, yet, so I guess I'll have to get back to you on this when I have.
