The good thing is I sat my last exam on Wednesday and passed it.

The other good thing is 'my' History of Cinema Professor didn't flat out laugh in my face when I went up to him and asked him to be my 'tutor' for the final thesis I have to write to get my damn 3-year degree.

Especially considering I told him I would like to write it about "Brokeback Mountain". *headdesk*

Yes, you are allowed to laugh.

Well, at least I didn't go, like, 'Hey, you know what?! I could write about the homosexual implications in "Starsky & Hutch"!!'. Not that the thought didn't cross this scary place that my mind is, mind you. *g*

The not-so-good things are:

1. Yes, my Professor gave in to my request but, just like my English Language Professor, he was less than thrilled about it. I understand they're all busy as hell and stuff, but then it's not like this is something I want to do, it's something I have to do, so they could at least pretend to be a little less apathetic/annoyed with the whole thing. Oh, well.

2. I'll have to go turn in a job application next week. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to get the job (well, terrified-and-ok-it's-not-my-dream-job-but-it'll-do happy =P), just not this summer. Because it would totally interfere with the whole graduation timing and, well, I don't multi-task that well. Not to mention I would probably be unable to invite fiore_di_fuoco over for at least a whole week. *weeps*

3. I'm officially poor again. I've spent another 100 euros on Ebay/Amazon (almost half of which on BBM books for the thesis!) *headdesk* and I'm feeling this Oedipal urge to scratch my eyes out just so I don't have to see all the wonderful stuff someone from China is selling on Ebay and which I can't buy. *cries* You know you need help when you dream of a brochure including an original recipe by none other than Nick Carter - yeah, WTF?!? - but you can't buy it because, apparently, £5 is too much. o_O

3. Nick is Norway and Howie is in Sicily. I'm here, in Tuscany. You do the math.

Ok, let's crawl back to the bright side, shall we?

I've seen three good episodes of "S&H" this week (though I'm still pissed they skip episodes so nonchalantly!):

- "Death In A Different Place"

A favorite moment of mine in this episode is at the very beginning, when Hutch tells Starsky it's time to choose between him and the Torino, lol.

Oh, Hutch.

Just when I think you couldn't get any more lickable adorable, you say things like this. *g* *pets Hutch*

*pets Starsky, too, if anything because of you patting Hutch's a$$*

Then there is the car scene, mid-episode, where Hutch is being all understanding and politically correct about the 'gay issue' and I think, from the way he looked at Hutch at one point, that Starsky might have actually wondered if Hutch was trying to tell him something. Of course, Hutch's looks directed at him worked just as well.

Finally, the ending scene banter. It was priceless. Yes, Starsky, 75% of your time spent with Hutch makes you a couple. Seriously, you guys are so married it's not even funny! *nods*

- "The Crying Child

I don't have much to say about this episode other than the fact that Starsk and Hutch dealing with kids is the cutest thing. See, I'm usually not much for too domestic scenarios (meaning the married-with-children kind) when it comes to my slash, but it works so well for these two. Maybe more than any other kind of scenario, if you ask me. Though the fictional Dawn Patrol one is definitely enticing, too.

- "The Plague

What's not to love about this two-part episode (especially part II)?! Yeah, nothing is the operative answer here.

That said, my favorite two things about it are how Hutch seemed at a loss as to how he was supposed to introduce Starsky, namely, his saying something like, '..this is my..' and not even bothering to add partner or something. ♥s

And then, of course, there was Starsky being in a frenzy because of Hutch's life being in serious danger yet again. It's really heart-warming to see Starsky acting almost...unreasonably, just because, hey, it's Hutch's life we're talking about after all, so what could be more important than that?? And him writing his own name on the window of Hutch's isolation room with lipstick is almost as adorable.

kimberlyfdr, I haven't forgotten about the amazing stuff you've sent me - for which I'm ever so grateful - but I haven't been able to watch ALL OF IT, yet. The one thing I can tell you, though, is that I find Paul extremely endearing (and it makes me almost sorry for him!) when he has to do interviews all alone. I mean, he often looks so annoyed with most questions it's painful to watch, in a way. Poor baby, haven't they learned he needs his Davey to get through an interview unscarred, yet?! ;) On a more serious note, have plans for a "S&H - 25 Years Later" project completely fallen through??

Ok, now I better go back to the latest chapter of the only "Latter Days" fic currently being written (to my knowledge) and then another chapter or two of "Another Dawn Patrol". ;)

Good night everyone!
