Pauline Palmer has struck camp..

My amazing Mum Pauline died today.

She had the same smile her whole life, in every photo. And she wasn't in many photos, because more often than not she was behind the camera!
My nickname for her was "little mummy" - She was short (5 foot 1 she claimed!) but her presence was felt. Her Guiding name was Wren, in her words "a little bird with a very big voice."
She was musical, crafty, and could turn her hand to mending or creating anything.

She loved baking (her "crunchies" were memorable and we're still trying to reverse engineer the recipe), but found cooking for the whole family at dinner more stressful.
She was an amazing singer and loved music, when ClassicFM came on in the scene in 1991, it was never off her car radio.
Driving? She would screech round the village in 2nd gear, as all her passengers mentally urged her to get into 3rd!

She led a life of service, a Guider, Teacher, Bellringer, Singer, Member of the church choir, Mother's Union. Always the first to volunteer, always the last to leave an event because she was too busy clearing up.

We've been losing her and missing her for more than 5 years to Alzheimer's, but now she's gone, we're realizing how much we will still miss her.
I love you darling Mum....
