Two years ago, my father picked out these two furballs from a local shelter that was so overcrowded, they told him they'd only charge the adoption fee for one if he took two because they needed the space. He's been telling me for months he wanted a male cat, and came home with two girls. Sucker.

It's a good thing she's pretty, because she's not very bright. Monday was V-E-T Day. The plan was to trap both cats in the garage so I could catch them, but doing so involved closing the cat door, and opening the people door to lure them inside with a promise of food (I was lying, because they couldn't have any before surgery). I started filling the bird feeder that's visible from my window at least once a week partly to do something. I'm sick so much that I can't do much on the weekends other than recover, but I can take about 5 minutes to fill the feeder and add a new suet block ( Read more... )
