Good luck with the upcoming weather!

Dare I ask... which preventative meds were you taking? I'm on Topomax for prevention currently and I think it does muddle my brain to a point. *sigh*

I have gone through several, including Topomax, Axert, and Maxalt.

The ongoing migraine made it difficult to think straight sometimes, but the meds would make that worse. It seemed to amplify things such as slurred speech, stopping mid-sentence because the word you need next just disappeared, etc. I was also dizzy a bit, but nothing like what you're dealing with.

I hope the dentist went well and that you can keep the migraines at bay this way. I just wish they could do more for you.

Compared to where I was, I'm light years better. There's just so much they can do before tipping the scales back to messing with my brain function by trying to prevent migraines instead of just dealing with them as they come.

There's a reason Texas summers are a good, though extremely hot thing. Almost zero chance of cool fronts equals less chance of a migraine attack for me.
