I had bruised my toenail area on the first day of skiing cause I forgot to cut my nails and I did a sharp stop to avoid something so my toes jammed into my boot and the nail was like pressed into my foot. So my big toe was bruised and pretty painful during the rest of the trip but luckily while skiing, the coldness numbed the pain and I could ski normally hahahaha.
I didn't know what to do with my toe, so I was just gonna leave it alone. But today, I accidentally kicked the chair in the car and then it started bleeding, etc and got separated from my nail bed.
The blood was staining my slippers and I could push my nail back till I could see inside (!). It's like......a valley in there. It's pretty cool. But here are some thoughts I wrote down just now:
"I feel like a baby. I mean, it's not excruciating pain but I think I'm just traumatised. And feeling self-pity. For a few minutes I was at a loss of what to do and I was just like....there's more blood coming out. It was so weird, I mean, to have your toenail gone. Wimpy. ):"
But now I'm just amused. Heh
Look at this monster. I wanted to take a picture of the separated nail and nail bed to show all my friends but I decided I still want to keep some friends. Rebecca Defoe said it was the grossest thing she's seen in her life HAHA.
I am thankful for parents who dress my wounds so lovingly (:
