First of all, I wanted to thank everyone for the comments on my journal. I've been having a really rough week emotionally, and it really helped to have you guys cheer me on.

Current Weight: 290.0
Loss: .8
I almost lost a pound! I have to admit that number disappoints me a bit for the first week, but it's definitely better than gaining. Maybe next week's loss will be larger. As I've learned this week, I'm not 100% in control of what the number says on the scale, but I am 100% in charge of what I put into my body. Just because the scale goes up, it doesn't mean that I should stop trying.
I got disheartened, but I never slacked or ate a ton of crap, so I'm pretty proud of myself for that. My rings also fit a little bit better (I'm thinking this is mostly from drinking more water) so that's always a plus. I guess it goes to show you that if you continue to eat well and take care of your body, you will see health benefits in some way, even if it's not on the scale. :)
