You ever have that thing happen where you write up a really good linkspam and then literally 30 minutes after you post it and promote it, the world's most perfect link comes barreling down the pipelines?

So yeah, read the above if you like, because I have a lot of thoughts about the way we're sending off Jeb! Bush and Justice Scalia, but if you were touched at all by
MayorEmanuel, you should read his creator, Dan Sinker, on its legacy. It talks about what we've lost in the five years since that (much better) Rahm disappeared in a clap of thundersnow, both on Twitter and in Chicago. It's really, really good, and you should read it. Did I say that already? You should. (It also gives us some closure, or at least alternate endings. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, well, it's all still up there, and the book, with all its extensive annotations, is one of the best books about Chicago and loving Chicago you can read.)
