Cross-Game Battle Royale!

A couple of months back, I found this fic, a FF7/FF8 crossover. Now, normally, I'm not for crossovers, but this was obviously thought through and considered on both sides. And it's . . . beautiful. Anyway. The point of this is, I was thinking-and prompted by one such instance-about who would win in certain fights ( Read more... )

Tifa V.S. Zell: This one is a toughie. But I'm sorry, but I think Zell would win. Zell seems to have more stamina then Tifa. If anything, Tifa is probably faster. Since there is no movie for FF8, I'll just have to use my own imagination about how the battles would happen. But yeah, I think Zell would win. Nevertheless, it won't be a very easy victory for Zell ( ... )

Sorry I sent you all of the messages, lol. My LJ was messing up and I accidentally pressed it a bit too much when my page wouldn't refresh.

But yeah, I think Rufus V.S. Irvine would be a good match. But Rufus would win in the end, since he is stronger. Rufus can fire Irvine's weapons with one hand, making him faster then Irvine. Plus Rufus probably has a limit break, but we never got the chance to see it, since we are never given the chance to fight Rufus again. So yeah, Rufus wins.

Irvine can fire Irvine's weapons with one hand. He like, whips out the Exeter and ba-zhang. Dead something-or-another.

I do think that'd be a killer awesome fight though. *torn between who would wiiiiiin*

Oh really? Lol…my mistake. I guess it's only some of the guns he requires both hands. Thanks for correcting me. :)

Oh it would be a killer fight. Heh, Irvine can almost pass for Rufus' son. They have quite a few things in common, lol.

1. Tifa x Zell: I say Tifa without even a second thought. Zell could pack a punch (hardy har har) but I think Tifa is far more intelligent and would thus actually think things through instead of just throwing kicks and punches. Plus, while Zell's size would lend more to strength, Tifa's lends more to agility. I mean...she could dodge Sephiroth in KHII, I'd say she could dodge Zell :p Winner: Tifa

2. Cloud x Squall: Miguel is right we did have this debate awhile back...I think Cloud...even though at first glance it seems the size differences in their swords would give Squall the advantage, Cloud is well trained in the use of a buster sword and as his primary weapon has learned the ins and outs of weilding it to the point where its size probably does not affect him at all. If Squall got in one of his more powerful LBs then he would have the edge, but I think Cloud would figure out a way to work around those. Winner: Cloud

3. Vincent x Irvine: I'm not gonna lie, I'm totally biased in this...but Vincent. More powerful, genetically ( ... )

12. Vincent x Selphie: Somehow the thought of Selphie fighting Vincent just gave me all kind of crossover plot bunnies. But anyhow, Selphie is not a very strong character without her LBs, and as with before, unless she would manage a 'The End' early on she has very little working to her advantage outside of GFs-Vincent is stronger, has *much* higher magic, and, once again, can transform into monsters. Winner: Vincent

13. Vincent x Rinoa: I think a Rinoa junctioned so that the only offensive magic she had in her inventory were ridiculously strong spells like Flare and Ultima, and if she Angel Winged immediately, that she could put up a fair fight...however that takes away her ability to heal. And without Angel Wing she doesn't hold an advantage over Vincent in anything except Summoning--but again if you want to play the Summon game, Vincent has KotR. Though a fun fight would be the above mentioned Angel Winged Rinoa and Chaos...since neither would be able to heal. I still think that in strength and HP however that Vincent would ( ... )

What, an all out FF-tournament? That would be very, very fun. I know GameFAQs does a character battle/series battle/game battle whatnot but it would still be interesting.

Hey that's a pretty cool idea you have there. A Final Fantasy tournament would be so interesting. Great idea! :D

I think Ultimecia V.S. Sephiroth would be a very awesome match. I know Ultimecia is stronger in the magic department, while Sephiroth is stronger in the strength one. But who would win? Ultimecia would probably send Sephiroth throughout time or something like that. However, Sephiroth's will prevents him from dying so easily. He just never gives up, lol. Deciding a possible winner for this match is tricky, lol.

1. Tifa x Zell: I say TifaCloud. I know the weight of the sword might seem disadvantageous at first, but you realise he's strong enough to dual wield them in Advent Children so I don't think it's THAT much of an issue. Besides, the Mako in him sort of nullifies that. Good fight to watch, but I think Cloud's ultimately meaner in a fight and has more experience - you don't take on Sephiroth twice and win without being good. And yeah, Squall fought Ultimecia and all, but the thing is, Ultimecia's a sorceress while Sephiroth is a fellow swordsman.

3. Vincent x Irvine: Vincent would take Irvine down straight. No question about that. We're talking ex-Turk versus Galbadia Garden sniper. :P

4. Cid x Squall: Squall.

5. Vincent x Seifer: Tough fight! I personally give it to Seifer - yes, I know Vincent's got a gun, but if you throw limit breaks into the mix - well. Vincent's got fantastic Limit Breaks, but if I remember correctly, one of Seifer's is called Demon Slice, eheheheh ( ... )

Argh, doubled the Cloud x Zell - It was Cloud x Irvine, and I still say Cloud.
