Zell's Big Mouth

Ok so today I'm going to do something a little bit different. Normally, I would have 1 main debate topic to discuss, but today, I'm going to do 2 in 1 entry. I think it'll be fun. I'm aware that we have all talked about events in various Final Fantasy games, and how things would change if one event was to not happen at all. This entry is similar to ( Read more... )

Are you the scenario writer for Final Fantasy 8? Because that was a beautiful summary you made, lol. It was flawless, and so realistic. I can imagine everything, from Rinoa calling up Seifer and asking for SeeD’s assistance.

You know what’s interesting? Many people consider Seifer self-centered, but he seems to be very considerate of other people’s dreams. I know he and Rinoa were romantically involved, but I can see him still listening to her as she talks about the Forest Owls and their goals. The same thing with Squall, I recall Seifer asking Squall about his dreams, and he seemed really sincere about the conversation.

That’s what makes Seifer such a deep character, his motives are so secretive. As you said, you’re not a mind reader so all we can do is assume. But as for my personal opinion, I’d imagine that Seifer wasn’t doing this for the Forest Owls, but most likely for Rinoa. Even though it seems that Seifer respects The Forest Owls point of views, I can’t imagine him joining them or anything, seeing as how he has his own posse to hang with. But that is a very nice point, and worth thinking about.

Now it does make sense why Seifer cut off Zell. But as for why he and Seifer fight, that is a good question. I always assumed that it was because Seifer loves attention, and figured by picking on the weakest, he would get it, hence why he chose to target Zell. But I’m sure their fued is much deeper then that, as you mentioned.

It is quite realistic seeing Zell using his knowledge about Seifer’s relationship as a weapon. That would have defiantly given Zell an advantage, and I’m sure Seifer would not have been as bullying.

Um, no... but I wish that I was a senario writer.... it's just in my little delusional mind, these are real people to me...

... I don't know if I should be happy or sad over that...

Yeah, being a scenario writer would be pretty awesome. Not to mention it would be a great experience for skilled fan fiction writers like you. But yeah, I feel very connected to the Final Fantasy characters as well; especially Seifer and Rufus, and I know what you mean by thinking of them as real. There's nothing wrong with that, at all. These characters pretty much live within us is an interesting kind of way, just how you mentioned that I remind you of Laguna. :D

Laters.
