Recently it's come to my attention that television and radio programming has become, shall we say lacking proper placement. For example, I was listening to a nice classic rock song on one of the many (and I mean many) radio stations in Portland. It was playing for a good couple of of minutes then suddenly laid over the audio was an obnoxious advertisement for a car lot.
When I was a teenager I had the opportunity to be a radio DJ. Sure occasionally there would be a hiccup and you'd have to come on the air and give sincere apologies. None of that happened.
When it comes to TV they do the same thing, yet it's never during a sitcom or paid advertisement. It's during the news. Today they cut from an important story to an AD. It's always seamlessly. I fully understand that advertisements are what pays ultimately for the programming that we watch/ listen too. But please tell us you made a mistake. Only because I tend to feel a bit schizophrenic and I'm always asking, "wait, what just happened? weren't they in an in-depth analysis of looming financial situations and now I need to buy a snuggie?"
