I read and read your bulletins. Comparing what has happen in American politics to some sort of "socialism". To post pictures of "new" American flags (a hammer and sickle in the middle) and basically complaining about our new president elect. Many of you have made it known that you didn't vote for either of the candidates. Who did you vote for? Nader? Well I'm sorry you tried to be different and vote for other. But in this country sometime you have to buy into the system. I'm not advocating just going along party lines but the fact is we live in a two party system. You have to do with what you got. I'm for once proud of this country to elect Obama, the once thought of impossibility of a black man being the man. It has taken our country so many years to get passed a once racist America. If you did vote, you should be incredibly proud the steps we have taken as a society. If you didn't vote, you have no right to complain about our political system and current president elect. Perhaps in the next election, you can vote and then maybe your arguments will be justified.
The funny thing is, even if Mccain was elected you'd still have people complain how the republicans will ruin this country and blah blah blah. Since we do believe in this country that every vote counts, this past election is an affirmation of this principle. 133 million people voted. A third of them young people. Our country has spoken, we want the democrats in again. We want to distance ourselves from the agendas of the republicans and Bush administration. If the Republicans have changed, they didn't clearly demonstrate this in the election.
Perhaps we can move into the future. Change our government to work for it's people again. I would say that in a America we have been waiting and needing this boost in it's people. Let's hope it's sustainable.
