[The Master crouches in front of his device, the screen and camera tilted up somewhat. It's still dark out, so his face is lit only by a combination of the screen, and by flickering lights off to the right.]

It took me long enough. Right! So: barrier to the left-- [He turns the screen, revealing strange flickering tears in what seems to be the air] --and I've been doing a few tests on it. Boring for you, so I didn't start the video until now. Because you know about the barrier. It's the holes you're interested in.

[He stands up and walks back, talking down to the device so that the Network will catch his words.]

Although the barrier itself is quite intriguing. I'm impressed at the ability of the carousel animals to break through it. Now! The holes! I couldn't help but notice what was in them as I did my tests, and for me, there've been a few recurring themes. [He holds up a finger] One! The vast reaches of space. [Two fingers] Two! An empty space in the previously mentioned vast reaches where my planet used to be. [Three fingers] Three! My planet itself. Which...really, I know it's gone, I have it from a fairly trustworthy source, not to mention I can tell. Nothing's there. I searched. [He looks introspective and distracted for a moment before brightening and holding up four fingers] Four! 10 Downing Street! Honestly, you really think I'd want to go back there? Once was enough. A very enjoyable once, but I've moved on. Bringing me to [fingers] Five! The Valiant! Again, an absolutely lovely aircraft carrier but in reality, absolutely overrun by members of UNIT at this point. No longer mine.

[He pulls a device out of the pocket of his jacket as he talks. It looks a little bit like an old school car or TV antennae.]

So I assume that if I look into a gap again [he does so] Ha! Yes. The empty space that was Gallifrey. [He extends the antennae] I'm going to use this, which I'm not going to explain because frankly, I just don't want to, to test the substance beyond the gap. It appears to be Gallifreyan space but I'll be able to use a number of different factors to-- [The antennae goes 'beep' and he gives it a sharp look] How can that be--It's not. [His jaw sets] I'll try another one.

[He walks along the wall slightly and jabs the antennae into another gap, waiting until that provokes a beep as well.]

But that doesn't make any sense! What possible benefit could the Architect gain by--no.

[He walks back to a rip closer to the device than the first one and inhales sharply in surprise before he can manage to test it with the antennae]

NO. I left you in the future! In pieces!

[He puts the antennae into this rip more carefully, looking almost anxious as he awaits the beep. When it finally does, he looks almost distraught.]

It doesn't make sense. [He turns to his device, only just remembering it] I'm getting accurate readings for every gap! I shouldn't be! Kara, you said that the room wasn't your room? When you looked through the wall? [Calming down] Right. So perhaps whatever is beyond the barrier is just brilliantly good at fooling machinery. [He collapses the antennae and shoves it back into his jacket] I wonder... [He looks thoughtfully at his hands] Ha, well, then. For science!

[He laughs, a little bit on edge, before sticking first a finger, then his left hand, and then his entire left arm into the gap. He waves it around a bit, looking thoughtful, and then pulls it out. It looks the same as when it went in. He frowns slightly and then takes his left arm out of his jacket, unbuttons the cuffs of his shirt, rolls up the sleeve, and then sticks his arm into the hole again.]

This is an incredibly complex illusion.

[He peers over his arm, and then moves a bit closer to the hole, immersing himself up to the shoulder, leaning a little so that his feet don't get too close.]

It feels exactly like... I mean, this is incredible! If I could just...reach...the console...

[And then, of course, it's like something pushes or pulls on him slightly and he loses his balance.]

Oh...~bugger~.

[He starts to topple and the screen goes blank.]

[ooc: LOL, Master-Fail. Ummm, I find this curse too interesting. I feel like a spammer. At least now that I've done this I cannot drag it out and I shan't post again until the end. ~'s still denote Gallifreyan. I guess this is a theme for me or something. Pay no attention to me. I've had little sleep. I'm going to ramble sooo much. You shouldn't have to deal with me in this state but there you go. Now! He is in his TARDIS (only not really, sadness) and because Jacobi Master was SO the type, he has a weird, semi-gothic, stony sort of TARDIS, with really seriously high tech bits on the console because he likes fiddly technology. And the traditional time rotor bit in the centre (a big...lighty...tube thing in the centre of a big round bit that is the console, it has a white light, though, not aquamarine), which you will see because like Classic!Doctor, he doesn't speak using a computer terminal on the console, he instead has a REALLY BIG TELEVISION SCREEN ON THE WALL FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. Also, there are a lot of candles. I should mention the exorbitant candles on the walls with drippy wax and extravagant sconces. And a big armchair that he can sit in in front of the screen so as to look as evil as possible only he is not evil, City, clearly, he is such a nice man. It is plush and red. RESPONSES ALL IN VIDEO. I AM SO SILLY FROM THE TIRED. SORRY FOR MASSIVE POST AND ALSO CAPS LOCK.]

~gallifreyan~, video post, super time lord power, failboat, hubris, time lord, supergirl has every convenient power, time war, affected by curse, malicious city, gallifrey=destroyed
