Today's events...
Eric came over early this morning. I heard him rummaging around downstairs and went down to see what was going on.
He was making coffee. And when he was done with that, he washed the dishes that I'd left in the sink last night. And gave mom an envelope with about half of the money he owed her ("don't bother with the check, I'll just give you cash").
And then he left. It *is* the season of miracles! :)
I had an SPCA meeting tonight and finally, *finally* got my id photo taken! Once I have an id, I can go on ride alongs. I came home with a training manual (read: a 3" looseleaf binder filled with about 2 1/2" of paper. Prior to the meeting, P. had emailed everyone an exam to answer and bring with us. It was based on the training of the previous meeting. Which I missed. I think I did ok on the exam anyway. (Each months meeting has a training session followed by a take home exam on the material.)
Tonight's training covered information for mandated (child abuse) reporters. Peace officers are mandated reporters because often if the animals in a household are neglected are abused, the kids are being treated badly too. :(
Yesterday I finally got my dad's will to the probate court. The main hold up was having the paperwork notorized, and that was done just before I headed to FL. The cool part was that it only cost $1 to submit the paperwork. (I'd been told previously it'd be $241.) And they printed the letters out for me right there, so I didn't have to wait for them to be mailed. :)
There's only one piece of pie left, so baking another one is on the agenda for tomorrow night. I may make banana cake as well. :)
