Of Classes and Comics.

Jan 22, 2009 20:00

So I’ve had some trouble deciding what to write about this week, not because I couldn’t think of anything, but because I couldn’t seem to get the ideas in my head in any sort of coherent order. Because of that this blog is coming to you in ADHD vision. ENJOY!

First day of classes was yesterday and each of them seem fantastic. My Detective fiction class is going to be epic and my teacher has a habit of calling everyone, “my dears”. Speech class is going to suck but the teacher seems cool enough. And tomorrow I’m gunna have to run to the bookstore and buy my textbook.

That’s right, The first day of   the classes was yesterday and I still have yet to buy my books. I really just don’t want to spend the money and the prices that the school  bookstore charges is absolutely ridicules. Now a more clear minded person would get the isbn numbers from the bookstore and buy the books online weeks before classes actually started. I however, decided it would be wiser to put off the task of buying books off till the very last possible moment. So in order to get around the problem that I have created for myself, I came up with the brilliant idea of getting my books from the library while I wait for the ones I ordered online to come in. So I headed of to the library with the intent of picking up my textbooks and maybe a comic or two. See I’ve never read comic books before but I have always loved superheroes. I figured I pick up a few and test out the waters.

This is when I had a disheartening realization. My library kinda sucks. Not only did they not have a single book that I needed, but the entire young adult section is just one bookshelf.  Of that one bookshelf only a miniscule section is dedicated to graphic novels. That’s just not right. Libraries are magical and are supposed to contain everything I could ever possibly need. The most upsetting part of the realization? I’ve been going there for years and never seemed to notice.  Have you ever visited your old grade school after graduating and can’t believe how small the desks and chairs where? It was kind of like that.  Everything seemed kind of small-. And I still need books. I suppose tomorrow I’m just gunna have to suck it up and buy them at book store.

On a completly unrelated note. I did the Google Verb with a few fun results.
Oddly enough the first three results  were from blogs of people who already had done this meme with my name.
Toni needs a predictable routine in a safe and comfortable environment, alongside those elephants she has come to know and trust. ( this one made me happy because I’m an elephant)
Toni may need to be euthanized( why? L)

Toni looks like a stripper and obviously has an eye for much younger men.

"I wear provocative clothes because they make me feel sexy," Toni says

Toni Wants To Please YOU( I’m noticing a rather disturbing trend here)

Toni is the devil if bullshit walks then flo jo ain't got nothin' on this bimbo ( I’m not en sure what any of that means.)
The results of  this meme lead me to belive that Toni’s on the internet are either relatively cool people with blogs or Sluty Mcslutfaces.( or elephants)

Ok so I’m about to wrap up this rambling blog but not before I do two things: One I’m gunna ask you what I should write about in my next my blog. A few ideas from the list include: The dangers of the Ninja Apocalypse, Female Superheroes, MBTI and other personality test, and Old journals, where I go back and read a few of my old notebooks.

And the second thing I’m going to do is challenge  you guys. In order to get to know you better I’m gunna be a bit nosey. I want to see you  desktops.
