So today started out good, early, but good. My parents and I went out to my step-fathers parents for lunch. That was great! We had dressing, chicken ala king, lima beans, lemon merengue pie, sweet potatoe cassarole, and cornbread. What a feast. But no turkey! After eating, we sat around and talked about things that have happened in the past and about whats new with me and school. about 4:00pm we left there and went to one of my mothers long-time friends and stuck around until time for dinner. That menu included ham, peas, dressing, gravy, bread, and cocktails. But still no turkey! We were supposed to go to my mothers dads house for a get together at 6:30pm but decided that our time would be better spent with scrabble, so we played a game (a long game) till about 8:00pm! Then it was off to the grandpa's house for us. This was not a fun experience. You see, my grandfather and my mother do not get along AT ALL! They spent most of their lives apart from each other and she respects him none. It was not until last thanksgiving that we even started gracing them with out presence. So, they spent most of the night talking about what they did since the last time they saw each other when he asked my mother over to beg for repair estimates for the house after katrina (mom owns a construction company.) They spent the evening talking more about the repairs! And I sat there on the couch and watched a James Bond movie and listened to them talk about the issues. We finally got out of there at about 10:00 and still have not eaten ANY turkey all day! If anyone has any left over turkey that they want to spare, please, I know of a good stomach that could use a good dose of turkey goodness. So all in all it was a typical turkey day. I also got to see a long time friend of mine named Matt Gressett! Yay for mat, we have not seen each other in a long time, so there was alot of catching up to do. Other than that everything was just icing on the cake!
Anyway, there are some people that I feel that I should say Happy Thanksgiving to:
Natalie, Arrie, Azn, Hillary, Taylor, Smiley, Ellen, Brandy, Shane, Britney, Blayne, Ginger, Pica, Kevin, Hunter, Mike, Mary Z, Mary, Medora, Heather, Mike (from London), Akira, Masataka, Hitomi, Jiu Ding, Nena, All of the USM Anime Club, All of the CTF players, All of the Yearbook staff, and last on the list (because she is last at evertything) Maxine.
And to all of you who were not mentioned on that abridged list Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Good night everyone, I'm calling it an early night. I will see you later!
I'm out like a light bulb Mutha Fuckaz!
