A Lovely Day

I had one very interesting bus ride today. You see I was on my way to meet up with the author who wants to put my poem in her book. And guess where our meeting spot was? At my work place at the Bermuda Aquarium. Does everybody on this island know I work there or something? Coincidence my foot! Anyway, as I was looking out the window I felt a soft tap on my shoulder, but seconds before I felt the tap the smell of some funky perfume greeted me. I swear whoever it was coming from, they must have bathed in it. I swear I was sitting so close to the lady my eyes were starting to tear up.

So not only was the fact that she worse to much perfume was bad...but her question was ever worse! Opening her mouth she asks me "what beach is closest to the water?" Blinking rapidly, and knowing she got her words mixed up, I asked her to repeat the question. To my surprise, I got the very same response, "what beach is closest to the water?" Lol...I'm sure my expression was quite priceless after hearing such an odd question. So, I didn't really answer it (not like anybody could) but I gave the tourist directions to my personal favorite beach.

Just when I thought the ride couldn't be any worse this annoying Oldie Goldie song came on the radio. It's called "Lovely Day" and the chorus drives me of the wall! All they say is "A lovely dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" then the back up singers join in and say "lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, LO-VE-LY DAY!" Normally I love old tunes but that one has to be the worst I've ever heard. Then again, I'm a HUGE lover of the song "I Got You Babe" from Sonny and Cher. I'm sad, I know.
