A 5-mile Nursery Rhyme

Jun 08, 2010 16:32

 Sing a song of 6AM,
a pocket full of green*.
A doe and red-winged blackbirds
seen upon the scene.
As Taber's was opened,
the geese gathered to eat.
Wasn't that a pretty walk to set before my feet?

Mt. Washington was in the clouds, hiding from the sun.
The lake was dressed in deep blue, dancing for her fun.
A breeze ran through the clear skies, rustling the leaves.
And always there were chipmunks doing as they pleased.
