Got an e-mail from Savage today. Binshou was happily scooting around when he went out, and was dead in the bottom of the cage when he came back. Wee thing looks like he just laid down and passed on. The hamster was being painfully cute last night. After a busy evening running, gnawing and chewing he fell asleep in the 'box'.

Pets:
If can get it to work again, use the mini strip shredder on the blue paper towels; the stuff is the same as paper bedding from the pet-store. Binshou used to tear the stuff up himself, so shouldn't object :)
Need to get some more of the fluffy pet-safe bedding while the room is still cold.

Binshou just did the daftest thing.
He's just stuffed himself with hamster treats, then when I came back to the tank, he catapulted himself to the front of the tank, rolled over, waggled his paws in the air, then buried himself in the nearest pile of shavings. It was the funniest thing!!
I guess he must like the hamster treats....
