 Travelled to Nottingham last night with P to see the splendiferous Arcade Fire. Journey did not start well - accident blocking the road, stuck for half an hour till they moved it

Nottingham Arena is rubbish, I'll give you that. I don't mind the ice-skating but the last concert I went to there (Bryan Adams, I think) we had to queue outside for forever and half the toilets were out of order and as you say there's just the one bar. Bryan Adams was good though thankfully. But I guess I put up with it since it's my nearest large concert hall.

I think I'd really really have to want to see who was playing to travel there again. Hopefully most bands will be a bit closer to home.

I've never been to the Arena but I've been to gigs at Rock City and the Rescue Rooms and they were both bloody awful...
