So I voted. I applied for an absentee ballot and I got it, filled it out and sent it out. I ended up voting for Obama, and I didn't really know care about the house and senate votes so... I bought a Japanese iTunes card. I had to ask the guy at 7-Eleven for it, and I only got a 1500yen one this time, but now I know what to do, and have made my account and everything. Bought a couple of songs, but not every song I wanted was on iTunes (at least that I could find...) so I dunno...

So I just finished watching the penultimate episode of Doctor Who's 4th series. Wow. So I knew that a bunch of people were returning for this episode, including a certain one that's been pretty much blatant in the previous episodes. So BeForU. Originally it was 4 members. Youma, Shiyuna, Noria, and Riyu. Then Shiyuna (the only one without any solos) left, and they added three more members: Risa, Sayaka, and Miharu. After a couple years, Miharu had to retire due to illness, and Youma left for personal reasons. Risa and Noria then "graduated" (ala Morning Musume) to solo careers ( Read more... )

Got BeForU's latest single, the last one they released before the shakeup, and its awesome, as I expected. Also ordered Riyu Kosaka's avex debut album and also ordered a Sonic the Hedgehog CD, one that negates the need for me to hunt down other, older, ( Read more... )

Well, the interview didn't go so well. I don't want to spend the time writing about it here now, but suffice to say, I won't be working at Aeon in the foreseeable future. Actually, the interview itself went alright, but I still didn't get to move on to the next step.

Well, I didn't get the library assistant position at Penguin. The lady left a message for me to call her back just to tell me I didn't get the job. BeForU is disbanded. Riyu Kosaka confirmed it in her blog today. Basically, Miharu is retiring due to illness. Yoma is leaving for unspecified personal reasons. Noria and Lisa will "graduate" from the group to solo careers during their December 30th live performance. (Which Yoma and Miharu will not attend.)
