She'd walked through the towne. It was torn apart. She knew why. And when she saw her father in a wheel chair. That threw her for a loop. But the highpoint of the entire return was helping with Collie's delivery. And away she went in search of a place to rest.
Metal tipped stilletto heels clicked and clacked against the floor as she looked around for her own living quarters. Her belongings were still in trucks outside the town. Those would be brought in soon enough-But the memories couldn't take away the pain. Finding a nice little room tucked away in the far corner of the wing. She nudged open the door with her toe and stepped inside with a sigh.
Flopping down on the bed, the caps of silver points sliding from her fingertips, and hitting the floor with a light tinkling, like bells. Her head hurt, too much thought did that. But now she could push it away and just concentrate on the ceiling. The white ceiling that wasn eeriely illuminated by the just barely dawning sun.. It painted an odd picture of ending and beginning..Beginning again..That's what this was.
She kicked off her shoes and they landed only who knows where in the room. She stretched, oddly catlike-the leather pants and velour shirt provided the odd contrast of sound to the ringing of metal in the room. Sleep had begun to slide into her eyes, tinted lids of indigo and blue wanted to close to embrace the Sandman..But the knock-knocking at her door..Seemed to tell her..
"Miss? Your meal is served."
Standing and sliding to the door, cause she can, taking the food..Offering her thanks the only way she knows how before closing the door and putting the tray on the floor and flopping back down on the bed.
"Twinkle, twinkle little star.."
And the light faded to black and the dreams came to play..
Good night sweet heart. It's time to go.

Collie was in the kitchen preparing coffee for Judas as he sat in the living room talking with his daughter, Monet. She'd felt the twinges all day and knew what was coming. It was time. A strong contraction hit and the coffee cup in her hand fell into the sink smashing. She swore quietly. The shattering noise hid another, a crackling sound like the shell of an egg and water rushing.
Judas rolled his wheel chair into the kitchen to check on her. "COLLIE!" He cried out in a near panic. Monet escorted Collie into the bedroom having sent Judas off to find towels and hot water mostly to keep him from panicking.
Within the hour the healthy cry of a baby was heard and the child was placed in his father's arms. " Come to papa, little Draven...I know a certain person
who's been waiting to hold you as long as I have..." were the quiet words spoken by Judas to his new son as he handed him to his mother.
Collie held their son and cradled him close, the baby began to suckle from her breast taking his first meal. The look on Judas's face was one of pure joy. The tears that ran down his cheeks were of pure joy. As the newborn settled in, Judas spoke with Monet telling her to chose her room.

Judas sat in his lounge, relaxing in a recliner, holding in his arms his newborn son. As Judas closed his eyes, rocking the small child back and forth in his arms, it was apparent that even had anyone been present, they would probably not have recognized him. Most people are used to seeing Judas looking angry, at times almost frenzied, and always with an attitude problem. Those people would never recognize him now, sitting there with a look devoid of everything except complete contentment. He appeared to be almost in another world, he was so overwhelmed with happiness.
He opened his eyes, and stared down at his son, with the most true and sincere smile he had had since marrying Collie. "Draven Michael Lasher...you have quite a legacy to carry on...and two loving parents who will do their damnedest to help you every step along the way. I'll see to it personally that you one day become everything I never could. I promise, my son...you'll be a better man than I. One day...all this will be yours. This city, this university, and all the prestige that goes with it. I love you, my son...and I promise you, you'll never, not for a SECOND, doubt that. Ever."

It usually happens everytime he's at the club. Everytime something big happens, Judas pages him right in the middle of his favorite dancer's act, Chesty LeFranz. As the beep from Wade's pager sounded in his ear, he frantically looked for the pager.
"Cripes!! Please don't tell me I stuffed it down Chesty's underoos instead of my dollar bills! Ah! Here it is.... eh? It's Judas... the heck does he want?"
Suddenly it struck Deadpool harder than Chesty's bra hit him when she threw it at him. Collie had probably givin birth. Wade flexed his eyebrow and
glanced up at Chesty than at the pager.
Deadpool gave a sigh and muttered, "It better be a boy...." Wade dashed out of the strip club and hopped on his bike, revved it and booked like a librarian back to New Camelot. Once through the gates Deadpool nearly let the bike crash into one of the towers as he ran twords the door and up the stairs that led to Judas' office.
Through the wheezing and panting, Deadpool shouted to his best friend, "Judas! Hang on! >wheeze< I'm on my way! >huff< You're one heck of a >puff<
guy ta page me when you know darn tootin' >hack< I'm at the boobie bars! >wheeze< Frikkin' frakken... I better get to meet... >cough< the new... Wade Lasher."
By the time Wade got the floor where Judas' office was he was out of breath. Nearly crawling Wade slammed himself against Judas' door and knocked
weakly.
"Judas.... open... the... door. I'm here.... ta see.... the new born....Wade Lasher."
With that, Wade twisted the knob on the door and fell into Judas' office....

Collie rose and watched her husband with their son with a smile on her face. It was wonderful to see him so content. She chuckled seeing Wade drag his arse in the door and smiled, "I'll leave you two to admire Judas's handiwork."
After kissing her husband she headed for the living room and sat down to watch the news she'd taped earlier and saw reports on the death of Apollo Maran. She was so stunned, the wine glass slipped from her hand.
She told Judas about her intent to go to the memorial service and proceeded to write Mars Quinn, the party identified in news report as the contact point. Judas wasn't exactly thrilled about her going, but had to understand the need for goodbyes.
She left a private note for him and got ready to go.

After at least two days of rest and not getting out of bed she finally made her way to Judas' office. Knowing he wasn't there, she left him a small note saying that she was moving all of her belongings in. Yes, he wouldn't like having the three moving trucks full of stuff being brought in. It had to be done. And she wouldn't have it any other way.
Walking back to her room, barefeet lightly hitting on the floor, she paused, looked around and continued with her walk. It was time to change clothes. So that is what she did. Slipping into a pair of black pants, a violet vinyl shirt and simple black shoes she was set to meet a few of the students.
But first she had to check up on Collie and Draven. So away she went to see how the two were doing. Good, she guessed seeing as is no one had needed her assistance. It was a good thing. And after the check up, it would be time to go look at the training facility. There had to be improvements and modifications she could make on it. Anything to keep her busy. Idleness was not something she was used to. But sometimes it happened and it caused her to look back on her life. And that was not pleasant.
Now she stopped at Collie and Judas' room, knocked three times, no more, no less-for that is how she is. And waited to see if one or the other was about.

Collie heard the knocking and sent Nicole, her seven year old, to answer. "Who is it? " A young sweet soprano voice asked.
The reply was, "Monet."
Nicole hadn't met Judas's daughter, but with an approving nod from her mother she admitted the young woman.
"Come in lass.. Draven is 'avin' his dinner." She motioned Monet into the living room where she was seated to nurse her son. A blanket was thrown over her shoulder and the child cradled in one arm. "Ye doin' allright?" A gentle, contented smile was on her face as she sent Nicole to the kitchen for some snacks and drinks.
