((Author's Note: this is being written with permission by Rampage-mun. This scene was already played out in live RP))

Her eyes widened as she looked down upon the carnage developing below her. She watched her friends, Sita, Vicky, and the others, slaughtering zombies and wondered aloud why she wasn't helping.

"Jason-honey? Why ain't we down there helping? I mean...we prolly should do something..."

"Karly...shut your damned mouth."

"W-What? Jason...you've never talked to me like that before..."

"That's because I had a part to play. a role in the great opera that was Thrall's invasion." At that, Jason began to change. His skin turned greenish-blue, his fingers turning clawed, and now he was in a jet black suit. "You see, my dear...you are a fool. You wanted to love someone so badly, that you let Thrall's most clever warlord right into your own home. Yes, dear...I am Apotheosis. And now that you know this bit of information, you, my dear, must die."

With those words, in a flash, before Karly knew what hit her, Apotheosis slashed out with his claws and quite literally ripped her throat out. As she gasped, trying to figure out how she could have been so stupid, she knew she had only moments to live before losing too much vitae... So she did the only thing she knew she could do. She sent out a very weak telepathic message to the person in the closest proximity to her, which happened to be Joshua.

"Leather-dude...he's here...Apoth...Apo....the changing guy. I'm dying...there's nothing that can be done...please...stop him...don't let him kill any of the others...and tell Sita-Pita that...she was my best friend."

She looked one final time at Apotheosis, hoping to see some sort of remorse in him. She saw mere the sight of him smiling, as her eyes closed for the final time.

On the ground, the red in his natural state could sense the horrid evil that had now openly revealed itself. He gave a throaty whinny, but was not about to leave Collie's side. When he turned his bulk, some blood was dripping from his flank, but the unicorn stallion held firm.

The message went to his compatriot, a winged black in flight.. "A greater evil than what is seen is here.. find a defender." Chevalier tossled his head and Rhi understood his actions. The beast landed gracefully as close to Joshua as Rhi could get him. What faced him was not the child he knew, but a young woman of about sixteen years with a cascade of ebony hair pulled back from her face. "Hey, need a lift, mister?"

A figure became visible, walking steadily over the crest of the hill, black clothing blending into the dismal fog of the day. The heels of her boots clicked dully on the path that she walked confidentally, even as she cleared the hill and began to descend on the battle that was taking place.

She stood a rather tall height, her figure thin and yet still imposing. She had a violent precision in each of her movements, an arrogant grace that was magnified as she stepped over the dead bodies as if they were broken limbs of trees. Her raven hair fell about her shoulders, and the wind blew strands of this black silk over her pale skin and ruby colored lips. Her eyes, for the occasion, were covered by black mirrored sunglasses, and black leather gloves covered her hands.

She did not pause as she reached the edge of the attacking zombies. She walked through them as if they were another street crowded with RhyDinians. The zombies, who were clawing their way to attack and destroy New Camelot, paused as she walked by, looking at her in silent curiosity. Her chin was inclined slightly, and she took no note of their looks, their momentary stillness. The farther into the fight she walked, the more the zombies seemed to react to her. When the tangle of dead flesh was packed so thick, they parted for her to walk.

From those in the towers of New Camelot's castle, her entrance was difficult to overlook. Her path was the only green of the grass that could be seen through the mass of warriors.

Perhaps she passed by some of the students who were fighting on the ground. If she did, she seemed not to see any of them. She walked straight through the gates, never touching anything, never being touched. She took the main path to the doors of the castle, swung open the door, and entered.

She turned down the hallway and advanced toward Judas Lasher's office, the sound of her boots even more hollow in this vacant building. At the door to his office, she turned abruptly and pressed her fingertips to the door, pushing it open. It swung open and hit the wall perpendicular to it, and she stepped into the room, placing her hands on her hips, her feet shoulder-width apart, and scanned the contents, until her unseen eyes rested up Judas' face.

"So good to see you again, Judas. I've come to help."

With those cold words, an even more chillingly sly smile slid over her red lips.

He crouched upon the battlements of the tower, his eyes softly glittering like red opals set in a white and black swirled mask. Vinyl creeks as he steps down off of the stone protrusion, his boots sending up little clouds of dust as they settle.

Apotheosis stands before him, the body of Karly Ellison laying at his feet. He speaks without turning: "So Gitane..here to avenge a death?"

Joshua speaks slowly, like a man completely calm but inwardly hating everything going on. "No," Joshua shifts slightly, glittering yet covered in little bits of gore.. "more like protecting violated terriortory. These deaths were mine."

Apotheosis turns now, his deathly smile parting his lips slightly as he talks once more. "You kill for a reason Gitane, don't you? You think you'll get your precious little Michael back don't you?"

A flicker of anger crosses Joshua's face as he sneers, stepping forward. "I don't think. I know."

"Know? Know what? Your such an amateur killer Joshua.. he can only come back if Thrall wills it, that is..if you want him to come back like the ones that your friends are killing so haphhazardly." A little shrug comes from the demon-yet-not. "His soul is rotting in hell, just like the little trollop's at our feet."

A small frown creases Joshua's face. "Of course he's dead, otherwise I wouldn't have to raise him."

"And Thrall thinks I'm insane? Joshua, don't worry. You'll be with him soon enough. You've got a place of honor right next to him in Hell," a little sneer crosses Apotheosis' face."It will be fun to send you there."

Apotheosis' arm transforms into a large blade, and then the rest of him follows, taking on the form of a distinctly average looking man, except for the large build. His eyes glitter harshly as he steps forward, now HIM the man who stole Joshua's mind and Michael's life.

With a howl of pain at what Apotheosis dares to do, Joshua hurtles forward like a freight train, his blades slahing wildly at the other, who casually sidesteps and drives home his own blade through Joshua's shoulder.

Wrenching himself free, the young man spins around and holds his arm, then looks at the blood as a wet wound smile crosses his face. "Is that all you have for me lackey? Pain? Do better." A small cut just above Apotheosis eye drives home the insult.

"Intimidation isn't a factor here Gitane," Apotheosis sneers at his opponent, eyes narrowing. "And without that your unorthodox style is nothing. Nothing at all." A vicious kick to the knees brings Joshua down, but he makes a rolling escape, onto his feet and burying a knife up to the hilt in Apotheosis stomach, wrenching it free after a second as he backs up.The knife wounds bleed for a brief second then close as Apotheosis laughs his amusement at the petty attempt at cutting.

"Cowar.." Joshua gets cut off as the healing distraction pays off and Apotheosis morphs his arms into the tentacles that wrap around the mortal's airway. Joshua slashes futiley at the cords, but only sparks are given in return to the wild swipes

Joshua's final rattling gasp of breath drains what's left of him, and sends him on a plummeting spiral to a bright light.
________

A soft caress brought him awake, like the feeling of a spouse brushing against you in the night time hours just before dawn. He stirred slowly, then when he remembered, his hand shot out and wrapped around a silken skinned wrist, eyes flickering open like rusted deadbolts, slowly and with much coaxing.

His eyes rose until they faced those of Michael's, whose hand he gripped tightly, but the peaceful face gave no sign of discomfort.

"I-I lost..didn't I?" Joshua stated simply, his head dropping down a little to touch against Michael's hand.

"No..you didn't lose..you've only begun to win love."

Michael's voice astounded him, to hear it after so long. Clear and melodious like a bell, he's missed it so much. "..h-how..?"

"Thrall's caused a large flux in the barrier between the living and the dead..it's what has let me come here." The soft hands play over the living man's cheeks. "I can't stay long though. Joshua..I've been watching you since I..left. I'm sorry about what happened..I've left you alone..deluded.."

Joshua shakes his head urgently and squeezes Michael's hand lightly. "No..I've found the way..I can bring you back."

"You think violence and killing will do that don't you?"

Joshua nods a little, always the slower one in this couple.

"Joshua.." Michael gives a soft sigh, has learned to deal with the single-mindedness and stubborn personality of his lover, "I can't come back. It's the natural order of things. The only thing that can bring us together again is time."

The slightly older man bows his head, a soft sigh of resignation escaping his lips like a lost word.

"Joshua, when you do come..I'll be waiting with open arms. But until then, don't overlook the one thing you are.. you've found what we always wanted. People willing to accept you. Maybe not all of them, but some will. It's unrealistic for everyone to. "And Joshua..I love you..and I know you love me.. and I want you to think. Think of all our times together..do you really think I want someone elses death on my head? To take the happiness that was taken from us?"

Michaels hand tenderly traces it's nails across Joshua's face.

"..until that day though.. think of it in waiting.. let it be your solace that you'll see me again. Allow yourself to be accepted. Not to change, but accepted. Never change..but accepted by those who want to be your friends."

The disillusioned living man nods a little, eyes closing in silent acceptance of what Michael says, another soft sigh escaping him. "Whatever you want."

"..well..one more thing then..this guy that's choking you? He killed someone who was willing to accept you..."

"One last murder Michael?"

"Yes."
______________________

The light faded from Joshua's eyes like a disappearing eclipse. The world was once again revealed, Apotheosis' face in front of Joshua's own.

"Come on you fool. Do me a favor and die."

From then on it wasn't a fight, but a demolition.

Joshua's arm snaked around a coil of metal, bones disconnecting from each other as they flow like liquid, then snap into place, jerking the whip-object forward, while a boot is planted into a knee.

Apotheosis managed to utter a cry of pain as his knee was snapped in three places, then jerked forward with a simple hooking of the toe. Then Joshua's knife was moving forward, making a swipe at the throat, then pushing hard into his opponent's elbow, ripping through like a mangler. Apotheosis lost his form, reverting back into the spindly coward he is.

Then Joshua rears back like a horse, his foot stomping forward and crushing Apotheosis nose into his face and then grinding the back of his head against a stone wall until not even a healing factor would save him from unconciousness.

After the "crusader" had crumbled, Joshua crouched, a finger toying with the other man's clothes.

"..p-p-please..we..can work together.."

Joshua had already hooked the knife under the other man's skin and was slowly flaying it, leaving sheer muscle underneath, glistening red.

"..of course we can..in fact..I have a game.. The Killing Game.."

Joshua hooked a finger under a chord of muscle. And yanked.

As he stumbled up the stone stairs, he grumbled about missing the mystery lady. Maybe she wasn't one of the bad guys. If she was, chances are should would have stuck around. Wiping blood from his forhead (his or the zombies?), he eased his way up the stairs. Exhaustion seeped towards his consciousness as he ached for a bed, and his broken arm ached for repair.

Where had that scream come from though? The woman was on the lower level, and he was sure the voice came from the upper level. Knocking open one of the doors, his bleary, green eyes widened behind the sahdes as the following scene set within his mind:

Joshua Gitane standing over the corpse of Karly, and supposedly torturing a now bloody pulp who appeared to look like the new student, Rampage.

His voice was a struggling croak, "Y-Y-You.....MURDERING FREAK!!!!!"

In a simple bip he had teleported ontop of Gitane, wrapping an arm around his neck from behind as his muscle tightened over the throat. "I knew you were a killer.....!! I knew it!!"

He spoke through gritted teeth as his green eyes narrowed behind the shades, a vengeaful fire burning within him, "...and now yer gonna PAY!!"

The feeling of exhaustion and worn away the exhileration of new life that the fight had brought to Sita. She climbed the stairs of the University without a care of anyone seeing her presence. It was sure Judas knew she was here, anyway. All she wanted to find was Wade's bed and to sink deeply in it
and sleep for eternity...

Brushing away pieces of silver hair from her face, which were clumped together with dried blood, she heard a wretched cry from Bryan. Her jade eyes widened and she poised on the stairs, then began to dash up them towards the tower, thoughts of her exhaustion gone.

The fight was over, what the Hell was Bryan screaming over?

"BRYAN!" She cried, running into the room, her dagger drawn, to see the boy on top of Joshua. The scene baffled her, and her eyes scanned the room... A demon, no, Rampage....
Karly.
Karly.
Karly?
Throwing the dagger into the stairwell, she grabbed Bryan and pulled him off
of Joshua, then placed herself defensively between the two boys.
Karly.

Sammy Custer began walking back to his room.. All he could think of was his thanks that this was over, and that he and Tori had both gotten through it alright. All he wanted now was to enjoy a long, hot, realxing bath, then to take a nap. But then...he saw a most disturbing sight. One of his best friends, Frogger, beating up Joshua, who he also liked. Miss Caine was doing her best to split them up, but why were they fighting in this time of victory? Why were they...his thoughts were interrupted by the sight of two corpses. One appeared to be Rampage. The other was... "KARLY! NO!" Sammy went running as fast as his legs would carry him to the top of the tower. As he got there, his fears were realized. Karly, his good friend, was lying dead on the ground. "Oh no...what happened?"

Seeing his friend's corpse, the first real casualty of war he's ever been exposed to,
was his breaking point. The usually calm, usually timid Sammy stood up, and with more authority than he's ever put into his voice, looked at Bryan and Joshua and yelled, "BOTH OF YOU! Stop fighting and tell me what the hell's going on!!!"

Slowly, Victoria made her way up the long stairwell to the student's quarters in the appropriate tower. She had just finished cleaning up most of the rubble that was outside, and had gathered and clean the weapons of the fallen zombies, thinking maybe Judas would want them, it would only be to their advantage.

Her long black hair was braided to it's end, flipped over her shoulder, her
overalls were stained with green from the grass, and dry blood. Finally the threat of the zombies had passed, and now only the minions had to be taken care of, but she was sure the brave warriors of New Camelot would handle them well.
As she made her way to her room, she could see the door still open, it's
frame still slightly crushed from that incident when her powers first manifested. Although it had been a few days since the zombies were destroyed, she hadn't had the time to tidy up. A small sigh escaped her lips as she looked to a picture of Sammy in his earlier years in life, in a Little League baseball outfit.

There was no way she could tidy up now, with one quick check in the mirror
she headed out the door towards Sammy's room. The legs of her overalls became
makeshift napkins as she wiped her hands on them, making a face at the less than mannerly action. For now, she guessed it was excusable.

Shouts were heard as she neared Sammy's room, then the rooms past that as
she continued her stroll to find her youngmate. Well, boyfriend..youngmate always made Sammy uncomfortable for some reason.

"BOTH OF YOU! Stop fighting and tell me what the hell's going on!!!"

If she was not mistaken, that was Sammy's voice she heard yelling. Her pace
quickened into a small jog a she headed towards the room. Everything seemed to slow, her breath became heavier, and her feet felt as if lead had made it's way into her shoes. As she turned into the room, her eyes met the faces of those in the room as their heads slowly turned towards her. Victoria looked to them quickly, wondering whats going on..then slowly her expression fell to a frown, her jaw dropping and her eyes widening and immediatly brimming with tears.

The sight of the blood, of those who were fighting..all had been shadowed.
All she could see was the dead body of her best female friend in New Camelot..whom she had begun to love as a sister.

"OeRiyan...don't let this be..."

Victoria fell to her knees at the side of her best friend's lifeless form,
tears rolling continously from her eyes. She took Karly's cold hand in hers and looks at her pale face in disbelief. Her eyes closed and she cried, repeating her plea to the god of her people, pleading that she was not holding the hand of her now deceased friend. Angrily she looked up towards the others, confusion only one of the many emotions clouding over her emerald eyes.

"What happened to her!?"

Joshua's eyes glittered unevenly as he looked up at Bryan, a small smile
tracing his blood covered face.

"..bryan..how touching.."

Joshua shook his head, letting himself be held up by hands steadier then his own, hair falling into his face, slick with blood as well, a grisly slick, wet look to each strand.

Then after disconnecting himself from Sita's hands, he stabbed a knife backwards into Apotheosis' head, finsihing off the demon. Not that there was much to finish off.

He sneers slowly and gives a little growl, "He killed Karly, not me. I just took what was rightfully mine in the first place, a killing. Now. Shouldn't we see what's happening elsewhere? Or are you all just going to stand there and yell at me?"

"How do we know he's not lying?!?!" he screamed into Sita's arm as she held him back, tears or rage welling up in his eyes as they narrowed on Gitane. In truth, he was pretty sure Josh *didn't* kill Karly by now, but he really didn't like Josh much to start out with. Morbid Freak. He loved this little manipulative game and Bryan hated the fact that he was losing to poor judgement and his hot-headed temper.

Listening to him, he dug his fingers into Sita's arm, finally noting Sammy and Victoria and stepping back towards them. "I say we tell ol Lasher about a lil traitor in the midst....." Narrowing his eyes at Josh, he grimaced his young face. Check. Checkmate?

Turning her head, she swiftly twisted herself around and grabbed onto Bryan,
digging her nails into his arms equally as deep as she shook him, looking
into his eyes. "Stop it Bryan, right now. Just shut up."

Releasing him, almost throwing him aside, such that he stumbled back against
the wall, she looked again to Joshua, and then to the mauled body, and then to... Karly.
Karly.
She closed her eyes for a moment and slowly let her breath out. "You're all

Before even receiving an answer, she opened her eyes, looking about assertively, trying to organize these people, this tower, this situation...

A small growl escapes his lips, looking at Bryan.

"I'm fine Sita."

Then he reaches out, a hand gripping Bryan by the front of his shirt, then pulling him slowly forward in a non-threatening manner.

He leans in, lips almost pressing against the younger boys ear as he whispers.

"..Bryan..how do you know that I'm not lying? Well. I may be. But. I'm not, and when Judas gets here I'll let him into my mind and he can see what happened. Then he'll leave.

And I'll come for you. So just drops this. There are some things that should remain private, and my memories are one of those things."

Then he just releases him, the barely concealed threat simmering at the surface of his eyes, though he has no real strength to carry it out right now. Especially with the other students around.

So he turns his back on Bryan, his arms crossing over his chest, speaking to the others.

"I doubt Mr. Concerned would want me to go find Judas. I might slaughter someone, so, I'll just stand here if you don't mind." his voice dripping with venom, mostly aimed at Frogger.

So he clicks his nails together and stares at them, sniffing a little.

It's turning into a long day.

That was about enough. Victoria stood up and turned angrily towards the
others inside the room.

"All of you that is enough! One of our peers has died, to Sita and I she was
just more than that! What is wrong with you, is your bickering worth more
than her life?"

She looked to the others angrily, then realized how she snapped on them..and
quickly blushed.

"But..it's still..her...her life is more important! Bryan how dare you accuse

"Don't...let this bother you..them..the boys I mean..I..she was my best

Joshua closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair, then looked down at his palm, staring at a few strands that had fallen out from the shock. He knew that in a couple of weeks there'd be new streaks of white added to the old ones of so long ago.

A barely visible tremor ran through his system, and Joshua, under the pre-text of being tired, did something he hasn't done in what felt like an eternity. He sat down, and just simply gave up on having control over what's happening. It was in someone elses hands now.

Softly he sings a song of old times, of old loves. His voice was low enough
that he could hear it only. It spoke of the loves of paradise and fires of
hell, it spoke of lost lovers, and new found friends.

Then he looked up with a small tear in his eye.

That was the best song he'd ever sing.

And he'd wasted in on himself.

Subject: The Final Battle: Part 1 ((Judas & Collie))

Collie had finally managed to get back upstairs into her family's quarters. This whole thing was insane, like a nightmare that she couldn't waken from. She chalked it up to her jinx. Collie thought for a while that the streak of bad luck in her life had ended when she met Judas. Now, in her mind the same curse threatened to take him from her.

She came in the front door covered in hay and muttering over things in general on her way into the shower. Judas having heard the water knew where she was without calling out and made his way to find his wife. The unusually long look upon his face reflected his mood. He closed his eyes gathering his thoughts to say what might be his last words to the woman he had planned to remain with forever.

Colleen shut down the water and went into the bedroom wrapped in a towel to hunt for clothes that would fit. Upon seeing Judas a worried look comes over
her, "Love, what is it?"

"It's.....time." She padded over to him, her bare feet making no sound, the frown deepening on her face as she wrapped her arms around him. "I've got to go, Collie...all I can ask you is to keep yourself safe until I return." Her voice grew quiet to hide the emotional torrent building in her.

"I.. I don't know what to say."

The near simultaneous exchange that followed proved how well they knew each other.
"Just say that you love me."

"Wait, yes, I do.. I love you, come home to us."

In other circumstances it would have been a bit amusing, but as they held each other both realized that it could be for the final time.

"You know I will," Judas forced a smile for her, " I have every intention of seeing that child born."

Her embrace about him tightened, as though not letting go would stop him from leaving. "I want you beside me when that happens."

"I will be, come hell or high water..."

His choice of words was rather ironic considering what was outside their home at that very moment. Her hand moved to her rounded stomach and a soft chuckle escaped her, "He's awake." The child growing in her womb was reminding her of his presence. She took Judas's hand in her own and rested it to one side of her stomach. "Feel that?" Her voice was quiet, the tender moment was only going to be just that. She wanted to give him a solid, yet loving, reminder of what they had to look forward to when he came home. Collie leaned her head on his broad shoulder and spoke quietly, "How long?"

"How long?" He echoed her words.

"How long before you need to leave?"

"I need to leave momentarily. I'm...sorry," he was a bit hesitant, "but this needs to be done."

"I know," was her soft reply as she tried to hold back the tears.

Judas held his wife, drawing her closer to him, "I love you so much...this tears me apart to have to leave you, but I have to do it. " The dam finally broke and the flood of liquid emotion flowed from Collie's eyes as she buried her face in his shoulder. "I swear to you, Collie...I'll be back." She nodded, too overcome by emotion to speak. "You...you and the kids...you'll all be right there with me, in my heart..."

"Judas.. " her fingertips moved to his temples and in a near silent whisper she said, "I'm just a thought away, my love." Their eyes met and it was as though their hearts were exchanging the thought their mouths could not speak.

He hoped it didn't sound like he was playing favorites, "I need to ask you for a favor..."

"What is it?"

"If something goes wrong, and I don't come back..." Collie swallowed hard just hearing those words. "You must tell her...that I loved her like she was my own and that daddy will always be watching over her."

"Rhi? I will.. I promise, I will."

He whispered softly," Thank you, also....the other children... Garrick and Nikki... make sure they know how much they meant to me.. And make sure to raise Rachael to know who I was... "

"I will, love.. I will. Rachael will learn of both you and Draven."

A gentle smile graced her face as she spoke. He spoke again, "And honey?" he swallowed hard, forcing a light smile, "If I don't come back... I promise...I'll tell Draven how much you miss him. "

At those words her composure was lost. She broke into tears again and sobbed uncontrollably. "Honey...you need to be strong for me... If something happens...you need to run this place...take care of the students." Her reply was thick with her accent, " I'll do me best, and in quieter tone, " I'll do me best, ngrá." Collie realized she had slipped into her native tongue and for some reason that worried her. She dressed quickly and the pair headed into the living room where Edge and Nick were now waiting.

"Well...I suppose I need to get this over with..."

Judas motioned for Edge and Nick to join him. Each man took their place behind their teacher. "Collie....this is it."

"I love you.. please be careful." They exchanged a kiss that was both passionate and loving and when that brief flickering moment in time ended, Judas whispered to his wife, "I love you, Collie....I love you." While he stepped back closing his eyes, his words were echoed by the one who shared his life, "I love you." The three men teleported away in an odd red mist. They were still visible for a few seconds and in that time Collie moved her fingertips to her lips and blew him a kiss saying a silent prayer that the three would be safe.

Only moments after teleporting out of New Camelot, Judas Lasher, Nick Redfield, and the mysterious individual known only as Edge appear in a haze of dark red mist in the dark cavern that serves as Thrall's domain. Edge looks around from behind his sunglasses, observing the nightmarish lair.

"Hmm...neat." Nick gives a quick, nervous glance around, and swallows hard, nervous, yet ready for this. Judas looks around, his eyes narrowing as he looks for some sign, any sign, of Thrall or his minions.

Edge draws his long, samurai-like sword, holding it with pride and conviction. "Let's get this over with, eh, boss?" He glances at Judas, a cunning flash coming from behind his sunglasses as if from his very eyes.

Suddenly, a voice is heard, literally filling the cavern, a voice brimming with darkness and evil. "Judas...old friend...you should know me better than that....there's nothing left. Just you, me, and your friends."

Nick throws a casual glance to Judas, realizing his powers are gaining strength by the minute, the shell that Thrall put on Nick's mind breaking as Thrall grows closer.

Before any of them know what's going on, Thrall throws a psionic cage around Edge, trapping him. Nick begins speaking to Judas mentally before noticing what happened. >>Judas.... I... I can speak through my mind-Huh? Edge!<< Edge, trying to escape, growls and shakes the cage violently, striking out at it, in a futile attempt at escape.

At that point, Thrall walks into the open, in the form of a brutish monster, about 7 feet in height, heavily muscled, and with a dark red, scaly skin. Aiming one hand at Judas, Thrall shoots several energy blades from his hand, nailing Judas right in the shoulder. Judas spasms a bit, before falling to the floor in pain.

Watching the ease with which Thrall took Judas down, Nick's eyes widen, staring at the Demon Lord in fear. Thrall looks straight ahead at Nick, his eyes burning a hole through Nick's very soul. "So, Nicholas...you brought Lasher here...but now how do you plan on doing anything? Lasher is down, Edge is trapped...you are as good as dead, boy." Nick tried to hide his fear, looking at Thrall with as much authority as he could muster. >>You're wrong, Thrall....your shell is breaking...you're losing your control on my powers!<<

"Then why not show me what you've got, boy?"

Nick clentches his teeth, swallowing once. >>I'd be happy to oblige!<< Nick's eyes go blank, pure white, his mind opens as he feels the shell shatter, orange psionic energy surrounding the young mute boy. He looks up at Thrall then darts at him, his aura of psionic energy forming into a spear-like shape around him, Nick leaps and drives his focused energy into Thrall. Thrall looks to Nick, trying to get out of the way, but Nick is too fast, hitting Thrall directly in the solar plexis, hard enough to cause him to release his hold on Edge.

Nick's eyes return to normal as the energy seeps into Thrall, who manages to give Nick a smirk. Realizing that Nick is out cold, Edge grabs his sword, as Judas jumps up onto Thrall's back, throwing punch after punch into the back of the demon's head. The mute now barely awake, begins to weaken as his energy continues to flow into Thrall, then stops, as Nick feels more powerless than ever before. >>N..no.... wasn't supposed to be like thi-<< Edge looks at the three, then runs at Thrall, sword in hand, leaps up and slashes downwards at him. With a quick turn of his wrist, Thrall grabs Edge's hand as he's charging, and knocks the sword flying out of his hand. Edge, thrown off totally, falls back.

Thrall looks down at Nick, snickering slightly. "Thank you, my mute friend...you have unknowingly given me the power I need to destroy your friends....and you."Edge looks at the weakened Nick "Redfield!?" Edge narrows his eyes at Thrall, as Nick looks up at the Demon Lord, the word 'No' silently crossing his lips repeatedly. With a massive display of power, Thrall tosses Judas off of his back, sending him flying across the cavern.

Edge slides over towards his sword, gripping it, whirling around to face Thrall. Raising his arm, Thrall's hand begins to glow a dark green. Still having a hard time getting up, Nick cannot move, only watch from the sidelines. Thrall looks over at Judas, a proud look of victory etched upon his face. "You are becoming a nuisance to me, Lasher..." Edge rolls towards Lasher. "Judas... Judas, c'mon, get to your feet!" he says as he tries to help Judas stand in order to evade Thrall's oncoming attack.
"But that is soon to be rectified...." Nick glances from Judas and Edge to Thrall, then back, as Edge frantically looks at Thrall, knowing what's coming. "C'mon Judas!!"

As Judas stumbles to his feet, Thrall conjures up a ball of pure hellfire, an attack that would drain him of the majority of his power. "Goodbye, Judas...in an odd way...I shall miss you." Nick's eyes widen, his whole body glowing from the light of the hellfire. Thrall throws the fireball at Judas, who can do nothing but watch. Suddenly, Nick actually forces out a shriek, one of pure pain and courage, climbing quickly to his feet, and then jumping in front of the hellfire, which engulfs him. With his last bit of strength Nick takes the blast, and falls >>I'm.... sorry Mr. Lasher...<<

Edge grits his teeth, looking down at the corpse of his teammate. "Nick!" Suddenly, Lasher changes completely. His eyes go completely black, his teeth become fanged to the point of looking like a dragon's teeth. A sneer spreads across his face, one that shows he means business.

Edge clutches his sword, angrily glaring at Thrall. "Mr. Lasher...I'm ready when you are." Lasher lowers his voice, almost to a monotone level, and speaks to his arch-rival. "That did it Thrall....first, you took my wife and child. Then you took my students. Now you've taken my friend. IT ENDS NOW!" Edge raises his sword a bit to his chest, standing sideways at Thrall, ready to strike. Suddenly, without warning, Judas leaps at Thrall, choking him from behind, trying to establish control "EDGE! Do it! NOW! Don't worry about me! Just use the damn sword!" The enigmatic young man focuses his energy into his blade and leaps up, a blue flame surrounding the sword. As he charges forward, he drives the blade into Thrall, all of the holy power Edge concentrated giving him the reverse effect Nick had, instead of enhancing Thrall, it drains him severely.

Thrall throws Judas from him, screaming loudly as the pain becomes unbearable. Lasher looks at the weakened demon, pure hatred and disgust in his eyes. "Now, Thrall..." Edge pulls the sword from Thrall, letting Judas face his arch-nemesis himself. Judas pounces on Thrall, driving his fists into his face over and again. "For
the students....for Nick...For Karly..." Finally, he pulls out a blade that appears to be a mystical klaive. Edge runs a hand through his hair, moving it from his face. "For
New Camelot, Judas...." "And...for Jennifer and Joshua." At the mention of their names, with all his might, Judas jams the klaive into Thrall's head. "Edge..." He lowers his head "Let's go home." The mysterious warrior breathes deep and stands, flipping his sunglasses back on. "Your the boss..." he says, grinning.

In a haze of dark red mist, Lasher teleports them to New Camelot's front gate. "Please, Edge, go around, go to the shelters, tell the people it's alright to come out...I have a family to go see.", he says, smiling. Edge looks at him and grins. "Sure thing, Judas..." Judas pats him on the back. "You did good, son." With that, he turns and begins to walk away. Edge nods and starts to walk off, then turns. "Hey, Judas...." Lasher turns quickly. "Yes?" "You know what the funny thing is? Our nice, kind, and quiet friend possesed, unknowingly, all of Hell's power...." ::chuckles:: "I bet you never would of guessed that I was a holy guy..." He grins and lets out a dark, sadistic, and wild laugh, then pulls his trenchcoat on and walks towards the shelters. Judas chuckles softly, and watches him walk away, whispering to himself. "No...I certainly wouldn't have..." Smiling, Judas turns and walks toward the University, to return to his family. Halfway there, he stops, and looks up to the sky. "Thank you, Nicholas...we'll never forget you."

Collie waited quietly on the balcony outside the bedroom. It was all waiting now, nothing left to do, but wait and pray. She barely heard the knock at the front door. She turned quickly running for the door nearly tripping on her way. "Just a minute, " she called out. Collie took a deep breath preparing for the worst and slowly opened the door.

Standing before her was Judas, battered, bloody, and bruised, but still very much alive. A wry smile grew on his lips, "Miss me?"

Tears begin to stream down her cheeks as a smile graced her face. "Yer damn right, I did!" She drew him into a warm embrace, being carefully of her stomach and held him close to her. He whispered softly, "It's over...finally...." A warm breath from her relieved sigh passed his ear. Judas stepped away from her, limping slightly, and proceeded to tell her about the battle.

Collie was overjoyed to have him home. "I can't wait to bring the kids home," she said as she helped him to the sofa. "Sit, I'll get you something to eat."

Suddenly, a smooth, evil voice came from the shadows "Awww...isn't this sweet? Thrall will have the last laugh when I destroy your wife and child, Lasher!"

Collie's head snapped about hearing the voice, "What the hell??" A change came over her as years of battle training instinct took over. Diabolique moved from the shadows, her hands irradiated with crackling energy. She suddenly let the energy loose, directing it at Collie's stomach. Judas, without hesitation, leapt from his seat and hurled himself in front of Collie, taking the blast directly in his hip. Instinctively she dropped to her knees beside her husband, "JUDAS!" Collie placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, the touch of her healing hand killed his pain and she rose to her feet. Judas, barely conscious, could do nothing but watch the scene unfold before him.

The intruder spoke, "How...quaint, eh? The Lasher family's big two huddled together, ready to die at once..."

Are you ready to die, bitch?" A fire grew in Colleen's eyes, one that perhaps even the devil himself would have run from.

"I've seen my end." "Death is but a state of being, my dear...if you think you're so tough, bring it," a smirk popped onto Diabolique's face as she uttered, "but don't think I'll think twice about taking out that damned child you have within you..."

Collie moved back, drawing a rounded silver ornament from her hair, "Oh, your kind always goes for the emotional strike."

"Hmmm...." Thrall's minion looked to Collie's stomach.

" My child will live even if I don't. "

"When I'm done...perhaps I'll make a necklace out of him. As a trophy."

"That depends.. " Her foot scraped hard on the floor like an angered horse.

"Well?" Diabolique threw a warning kick at Collie's face, barely missing her and yelling, "Come on!"

Collie's defenses kicked in. Her formed changed, an equine now stood before Diabolique, its rear legs facing her and striking out. "OOF!" The hooves connected directly with the woman's chest, flinging her across the room, and cracking several of her ribs.

A softly accented voice echoed in the fallen woman's head, "Are you willing to do battle with a unicorn in its own forest?"

Diabolique looked up into the air and whispered, "Thrall...I need your power, please help me..."

The animal came about, thundering on the hard floor and was now facing her. The unicorn mare reared up slightly and whinnied. Judas's voice was barely heard, "I defeated Thrall, he can no longer help you..."

The clashing sound of hooves dropping was heard, the animal backed up, her tail swishing. As Diabolique began to rise to her feet, snarling with blood dripping from her mouth, the mare bent in a bow of sorts, pointing her alicorn forward and runs toward the source of her irritation. The woman turned to face the charging animal to find the fabled horn impaling her chest. "AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" The blood curdling scream filled the room and Thrall's last warlord began to glow an almost neon blue.

Judas whispered, "Collie...b-back away..."

Collie's voice responded in his mind, "A little hard when she's attached to me, dear heart." The mare tousled her head shaking the woman about, then tried to toss her off.

Judas crawled toward Diabolique, freshly tossed off of the horn, and tripped the stumbling woman backward, making her fall through the window. When the body reached the halfway point, a loud explosion rattled ever window in the school. "''S what I was trying....to...to tell you about...Her doomsday device...a s-self destruct..."

Colleen returned to her human form and fell to her knees exhausted. She realized as an afterthought that her husband had never seen her transform before now. Her breathing was labored as she spoke, "I see, she's dead then?"

Judas's senses told him that the danger had passed, but before he could even ask any questions, he just relaxed, "Yes. She's...dead, but she...did her...damage..."

His wife crawled over to him, worry evident on her face, "What is it, love? What has she done?"

"Collie, I...I can't move my legs..."

Collie collapsed beside him, unable to speak because of her emotional state, mild shock. Worry in his voice he spoke quietly, "Are you alright? Physically, I mean?"

"I think so." A stunned look grew on her face as she realized something.

"The...The child?"

"Judas, look at me." His head turned weakly as he looked toward the sound of her worried voice. "I shouldn't be ready until.. until.. next April.." Her body was swollen, the child within her had grown at a rapid rate likely due to her transformation.

Judas closed his eyes nervously, "Let's hope this child...knows what he's doing."

Collie's panicked whisper was heard, "What did she do?"

"She didn't...do anything..." He struggled to remain conscious, "I sense no taint of any kind to you....she couldn't have done...anything... "

Trying to regain her composure her concern turned from her belly swollen with what was likely a healthy child to her wounded husband, "Let me get you to bed.. I'll.. I'll get a doctor. " A guilt ridden look over came her and her eyes closed. "Damn, I feel so useless." She muttered.

"Don't. You...are my very heart...."

"How should I feel, Judas? Fer all the power o' healin' born in me.. I cannae help you, but to stop any pain."

Her forehead rested against his as he spoke, "Please Collie...don't feel this way....don't..." His eyes shut as he fell peacefully unconcious.

Collie sat slumped in a chair by the side of their bed. He was sleeping peacefully after the long ordeal with Thrall and his minions. She held his hand loosely for fear of cutting off circulation. A worried expression overtook her pale features. Collie sat in silent vigil hoping that he would open his eyes and speak to her. She longed to lay beside him and hold him close to her, but did not for fear of hurting him.

She was still in shock over the doctor's prognosis. Paralyzed, that's what they told her. The curses and oaths that flew from her mouth would have shocked even the most seasoned of sailors. More than anything right now, she was angry at herself. Even though she was a powerful healer, she couldn't do any more for him than take away his pain. Collie found herself in a quandary. If she wasn't pregnant she could use her power to heal him. The doctors said the paralysis could be temporary or permanent, it all depended on him.

Her other hand rested at the top of her rounded stomach. Tears were welling in her eyes at the possibility of having to make a choice between her husband, her love, and the new life growing within her. Collie knew exactly what Judas would say to this. The coming child had been the focus for him the past few months. Collie recalled the look on his face the night she told him. He had the looked of an excited child about him. Something told her that pushing herself magically to the point of exhaustion would cost her not only their baby, but her husband as well. Judas would never forgive such a foolish act. Collie would whether the storm and pray for the best.

A soft rain began to fall outside. Collie gently squeezed his hand, his strong pulse reassuring her that he was alive. The steady rhythm of his chest rising and falling from his breathing was another reminder that he would fight to remain alive. If not for himself then for his family.

Rhi still atop Chevalier, after taking Joshua to the top of the building,
watched the scene before her eyes. She shook her head, "Karly was dead 'fore we gots up here."

She tried to establish mental contact with her mother a deep frown came over
her tiny features. A slight tone of take charge came from the smallest among the group, "Momma sad, Dad is hurt! You big people need to figure dis out! Who is goin'? Rhi have room for one!" The little girl patted the rump of the pegasus. The black snapped his wings causing a gust of wind to swirl the debris around those on the battlement.

She looked up at Rhi and blinked, then squinted, and then, without even
completely processing "Dad is hurt", she stepped forward.

"Me. I'll go." She cast one threatening glare back at Bryan and Joshua.
"Behave. We're not going to let anger and hurt rip us apart now, after all this."

With that, she turned and walked over to Rhi, and looked up with a weak sort
of smile. "Hey... Let's go figure this out, okay?"

Pressing her hands down upon the muscles of the animal, she swung herself up
and over behind the girl.

Rhi nodded to Sita, "Ok, hang on.." The large animal was turned carefully to
allow Sita to climb on to the balcony outside the bedroom of her parents. The
curtains were open and an unconscious Judas lay abed. Collie's eyes were closed.

She sensed them coming and rose. Her first instinct was to scold her daughter, but it was pointless since the child was in the midst of her war torn home. "Rhi, take him ta the stables, lass and get him cared fer." As Rhi flew off, her mother's attention turned to Sita and she could feel concern from her, anything else was unimportant. "Judas is asleep. Diaboloque attacked him, he.. he was defending me and the baby." Her voice was quiet as she motioned Sita into the room. "He's paralyzed." Collie's eyes welled, but she held it back.

She gasped, and then let the gasp shiver out through her mouth. Without
thought, she crossed the room and wrapped her arms around Colleen and pulled her to her, instinctively... For Colleen's sake, of course. For the tears that were welling in Colleen's eyes, of course.

Letting her go as quickly as she had held her, Sita ran her trembling hand
through her hair, then clasped both of them behind her back, and tensed her
body, and inclined her head.

"Karly is in the tower, and she's dead. Joshua says Apeothsis killed her,
and Joshua killed Apeothsis." She turned her head from Colleen, not wanting to, but she didn't want her voice to waver like it did, either. "Bryan first accused Joshua of killing Karly, and I came for Judas ... someone... to clear it up."

Turning her head back, again she lifted her eyes to meet Colleen's. "How..?"
As her question trailed off, her eyes wandered back to the figure in the bed. "How is he." But before Colleen could answer, she looked back at her again, her eyes disobeying her otherwise steady disposition. "What can I do to help."

Collie looked to Sita, "The doctor says he's paralyzed, but it's likely
temporary. He's strong of body and will and that will be of help." She
squeezed Judas's hand and gently brushed some hair from his eyes.

Collie rarely cried in front of anyone, but her children and husband, her
eyes were quickly dry. "Nick is dead, too, Sita... We were about to discuss
arrangements for the funeral.. when that she-bitch came straight from hell."
Collie closed her eyes and thought a moment, "Ye can help by gatherin' the
others and tellin' them abou' Nick. We must honor our dead."

As Collie spoke those words, Judas awoke and told them of his plans for the
funeral. He was groggy, but his strength wouldn't fail him, especially with

Subject: Deadpool vs. Samael: ONE NIGHT ONLY!
Date: Fri, 09 October 1998 01:24 PM EDT
From: Deicide JL
Message-id: <19981009132414.23612.00008995@ng96.aol.com>

It is two days after the so-called "Zombie-Crisis" has ended, and finally, as morning came and went, and afternoon quickly approached, a hellish sound could be heard, that of the large, demonic wings of the warlord Samael flapping menacingly as he makes his way to the front gate, preparing to enter.

Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, is on his way back into the New Camelot complex when he stops dead in his tracks and whirls around at the sound of the
flapping wings.

" Oh crud.... as if my day wasn't bad enough as it is..." he sighs.

As he lands on the ground behind Deadpool, Samael's dark, animalistic voice booms out, making his presence known.

"Wade Wilson, I presume? I was told you would probably be here."

"And I was told I'd date Cindy Crawford, but those damn fortune tellers are never right..."

As he finishes his sentence, Deadpool suddenly runs at Samael at top speed and spears him out beyond the gates, catching him off guard. Samael falls backward as Wilson takes him down then flips him off of him after a moment.

"...The hell?"

After being thrown from Samael, Deadpool lands on his feet, jumping up into a fighting position.

"....like those pyschic friends are really yer friends ya know?"

Samael looks incredulously at Deadpool. "You...You're insane, Wilson!"

Deadpool steps back and flexes his eyebrow. "Exsqueeze me? Did you, a flying Bat-Man wanna-be with the worst Hair-Club-Fer-Men representative, just call
ME, Wade Wilson, insane?!?"

Suddenly, Samael jumps forward with lightning speed, catching Wilson directly in the nose with a spin kick. Wilson, caught off-gaurd, flies back onto the ground.

"Whoa!" he rubs his nose "Ok, don't answer my question.... and thanks fer ruining my career in modeling.." he checks his hand for blood from his nose. "Great...it's seepin' through my mask"

Deadpool shakes his head and sits up. "You know how hard it is to get blood outta the crap we superheroes make our bodysuits with?? This material just won't
cooperate with you..."

"You worry about a small loss of blood, Wilson? We'll see how you enjoy having your limbs torn from their sockets..."

Wilson handsprings up. "Do I *look* like a psychic mirror? I think yer mistaken me fer what yer winged-arse is gonna look like..." Wilson leaps at him, flinging his snappy banter in an attempt to distract him. Wilson grabs Samael's arms, driving his feet into the deomn's chest, then kicks off, pulling Samael's arms, nearly dislocating them. As he bounces off of Samael's chest, Wilson lands a few yards back from him in a crouching position. Samael grimaces a bit, smiling sadistically.

" I don't know what you have in more abundance, Wilson, bravery or stupidity..."

Wilson stays crouched for a moment, thinking to himself. "Good Wadie-poo.... keep talkin' yer trash, make him angry and let 'im lose his focus..."

Suddenly, Samael pounces Wilson, slamming the back of his head into the ground.

"I grow tired of your antics, Wilson!" he growls as he begins backhanding him with his superhuman strength across the face over and over.

"Oww!!" Deadpool growls, as the demon's hands repeatedly meet his face. "Nice one, stoopid, way to make him lose his focus..." his head jerks with the flow of his slaps. With a burst of strength pulled from deep inside, Wilson, kicks the large demon from atop him and handsprings up, rushing at him, his face feeling raw and bruised. Seeing Deadpool running at him, Samael slashes at Wade with one of his razor-sharp wings, giving him a gash across the face. Wilson spins to the side in pain, not even coming close to hitting Samael.

"Oww!! He's too fast.... couldn't get close enough to attack." he staggers up "His reach is incredible..." he shakes his head, blood cloaking his vision.

Samael smirks a bit as he backfists Wade to the ground. "Puny mutant...you have such a superiority complex, yet you are merely a mortal like the others...a mortal that can be easily slain, just like the others."

Wilson falls back to the ground, looking up at him. "That so freak? Obviously you ain't done yer homework..." He rips his mask off, the gash from Samael's wing is closing up. Wilson thinks to himself, "Mutant Healing Factor...Try and fool him... make him think you can't be killed. But be careful, Wadie-poo.... you got a limit to that healin' factor. "

Samael smiles. "What a waste, Wilson. You could have been one of the great death-dealers. But instead, you play babysitter to a group of snot-nosed kids."

Wilson narrows his eyes. "Those snot-nosed kids are my family! All I got..." angered, Deadpool leaps at him, pummeling his face with a barrage of fists.

Samael laughs as the fists connect with his face, an evil smirk spreading across his face. "Oh, Wilson, how you amuse me..." Samael grabs Wade by the face and literally throws him at the ground.

As Wilson slams to the ground, he hears bones cracking, although he doesn't exactly know which ones. His healing factor slowed from the amount of pain and the broken bones the weakened man staggers to a crouch. "Too strong... didn't intend to put up with this much... the ole factor's in overdrive.... this ain't good..." he mutters as he forces himself to stand.

"And now, Wilson..." Samael draws two small daggers, holding one in each hand. "You must die." Snarling, he begins running at top speed at Wilson, head lowered, daggers outstretched.

As Wilson shakes his head, his eyes adjust to see Samael rushing at him. With a primal roar, Samael leaps from his feet, his large wings carrying him at top speed right at Wilson. Just before Samael connects to him, Wade draws his katanas from their sheaths on his back, pulling them out and driving them into Samael's cranium.

A demonic roar is heard then suddenly urks to a halt as Samael drops. Deadpool looks down, standing over the fallen Samael, and smirks.

"Wade Wilson, 1-0...WHO'S NEXT?"
