Is it really almost Sunday?

Wiebe was looking for a translation of the Bill of Rights in French for our History class online, and he found one; not exactly the kind of website he was expecting, though.

Enough to make you sick and Enough to make you sicker

Anyway. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving...ours was just spiffing, we had our usual four-person dinner, and we got through it with the smoke alarm only going off once. Afterwards we headed over to a family friend's house for our annual charades party with a bunch of people...it was pretty good, I was the youngest there by a good ten years, but I'm used to that. I had to act out "Time Considered as a Helix of Semi-Precious Stones," which was intense but still fun and successful. We always have some pretty funny titles; one of my favorites was "No Touch Monkey and Other Travel Lessons Learned too Late."

It's almost December 1st...almost time to break out the holiday decorations and sing some winter songs and get excited about the holidays. I think I'm more with Charlie Brown than ever this year...commercialism is starting to get to me. I think it's great to give nice, thoughtful gifts to the people that you are close to, but I wish we would think about doing things like hand-making them or even just spending more time with each other instead of running around at the mall spoiling each other with fancy electronics.

Okay, I admit, I'm into fancy electronics too. Oh well. I think I said all that for myself more than anything else...I always try to make sure that the traditions we have with family and friends are the most fun part of the holiday season, and not just making a big list and waiting for people to give you things. I could still probably be better about it, though....

Well now, this has been rather random, hasn't it? Speaking of spoiled, Notre Dame beat Stanford tonight...boo. We don't like Notre Dame.

Be good...November is almost over, enjoy it while it lasts.

love,

Flemington
