A renovated house on our street just sold for $571,000.00. We're in (happy) shock!

I transferred all our utilities via Australia Posts Moving Services to our new address.
I found us a damn fine home/internet bundle which included a WiFi modem for $99.
I sent off urgent T-shirt artwork to Perth.
I remembered to eat.
All is well on Planet Natalya :)

At 4pm today, I got a call from the real estate agent who sold us the house asking how it felt to be a woman of property (and debt). Funny guy! Five minutes later I got a call from the conveyancer to tell me it all went smoothly and to start packing. It's finally beginning to sink in, we really ARE committed, with a mortgage. Soon I will have my own laptop and won't be resorting to stealing the caramel's when I have insomnia. So here I am, been awake since five am, stressing about going to our first auction today for a house we really, really want and have finally got all the finance etc organised for. It's at 12.30pm so I have a few more palpitation filled hours to go

Life has been busy and eventful.

Saturday day I spent the day under the doona crying because our finance got refused (the caramel is still on probation and apparently mortgage insurers won't cover someone who's not out of probation - nice if we had been told beforehand but the mortgage broker said that Westpac's advertising material was misleading).

We inspected a house today. Our buyer's advocate has said yes, it's good but we've been told to go away and have a really long hard think about buying it, because it will sell at auction, probably at our upper limit.
