Why do I always think Crazy French Chick belongs on Alias?
Okay, that guy died and I burst out laughing, it was so perfect. Isn't that awful? But really. "Dude." Hurley is so eloquent. And, I'm going to state right up front, Hurley makes this show--and this episode--about twice as good as it is, all by himself. Hurley is awesome. "You've got some...Ernzt on you." The way he said that, I so expected him to say "...red on you" like in Shaun of the Dead. Hurley can never die, never. ever. The show would *not* be the same.
Shannon & Vincent are so perfect together. I don't know why, but they completely fit. There needs to be a revolving icon with the girls-and-their-dogs on TV. Also, Shannon's tears? Are probably the best on TV. (Aside: not to mention her legs. Wow, she's got good legs.)
Speaking of fine body parts, Kate has *really* good arms. And I just don't say that enough.
I love the raft shots. Serenely floating...and the music is so foreboding in a completely not-melodramatic way. Very Last Flight of Noah's Ark somehow, and just perfect. And hee, Sawyer reading all the notes and arguing with Walt. Those two could have some *great* arguments. And dude, saying that makes me feel all wobbly over Sawyer trying to pull a gun to defend the kid later. This show is so good!
I've been wondering...wouldn't that handcuff be eating through Jin's wrist right about now? Seriously. I'm pretty sure those things weren't made to be bracelets.
If Kate didn't know the dynamite wasn't in her pack, why the hell didn't she take her pack off before she started running like Jack said? Geez.
I love that Locke & Jack--completely unexpectedly--learned to work together. Instead of what we expected, pitting them against each other. Which could still happen, and I love *that*, too! "We're gonna have a Locke problem." And, aw, Jack wants Kate to be his wingman. Cute.
Aw, man, I just realized from the ad that I forgot to watch the "secret Lost scene" on Good Morning America today. Shoot.
"Do not hit me again." Mmm. Better, listen, Charlie, you big idiot. And oh, *man*, Sayid, don't *tell* him about the freaking drugs! I guess Sayid doesn't know, huh?
Only on Lost would you see sterilization via gunpowder. Awesome.
I was going to say that I loved how Claire hadn't yet named the baby, but then she went and did it, so... I love Claire. Charlie's gonna break her heart, isn't he?
Mechanical noises. To go with the new "security system" clue. Oooh, that's new. And way cool.
Oh, best of all, a timely Star Wars ref. *loves*
I loved seeing how everybody boarded, those that saw each other and those that didn't. I especially loved that last moment between Boone and Shannon, because *ouch* in just the right spot.
Really, really solid season finale. And I'm glad they didn't end with a huge, surprise cliffhanger--well, by that I mean *literally*--but instead just left a lot of material open for next season.
And I think they just convinced me that I need to get these DVDs after all, so...good going, Lost people.
