So we all know Danny Mahealani from Teen Wolf, right? Well, I've been having ALL THE DANNY FEELS lately, which isn't entirely accurate, because I think I've had all the Danny feels since I realized that he was a character that existed. So I guess it is more accurate to say that I've been having even more Danny feels than normal lately. Just, it's getting a bit overwhelming. And really, where are all the Danny fans? I mean, I know everyone loves~ Danny, but, come on, the tumblr tag is mostly rp blogs, and oddly enough, posts about Sterek. Which, both are cool if that's what you're in to, but that's not what I'm looking for in the Danny tag.

So here, have a list on why I love Danny and more importantly, on why YOU SHOULD TOO.

• First off, Danny is a qpoc. Let me say that again. Danny is a queer person of color. He is canonically queer. He is a person of color. Representation. As a queer person, I can be like, hey! A queer narrative! A healthy narrative, for the most part! AWESOME.
• Danny is nice! He forgives Scott for slamming into him and hurting him during practice. He looks out for Jackson (and like admits he's worried! I love it when characters acknowledge their feelings!). He doesn't punch Stiles in the face, which like, as a queer person who gets asked by straight ladies all the time how their boobs look, like it's super frustrating**. So, seriously A+ on Danny for keeping his cool AND THEN HELPING STILES WITH A PROJECT.
• He's funny and snarky, and it's great. Like the fandom concentrates on Stiles' sarcasm and sassy Derek/Peter/Jackson but like Danny has really great lines too. LOOK, I even made a whole photoset with funny/witty Danny.
• He's good with technology! Not just like, turn it off/on good. He's good. And he helps people out with his skills (think recovering recorded material). And gotten arrested for it too! When he was 13! That's young! That means he super smart, and super talented and has been for ages. If he could get arrested with his skills at 13, THINK ABOUT WHAT HE COULD DO NOW.
• And man, he's like super human too. He falls for guys! And goes clubbing! And is like shown as actively interested in dating, and being a normal teen and wanting to find a guy that likes him too and is, yes, also attractive. And think about the scene at the Jungle where he gets all bummed that his ex is being an asshole and showing off with the dude he's dancing with then. And it's like, man, that has to suck, and Danny is shown being a little bummed about it, acknowledging past dating relationships. And it's cool. It's neato. Especially in the context of all lot of the other relationships/attitudes characters have about relationships/dating in the show.
• He's also apparently really good at lacrosse. Like Scott passed to him, and he scored every time!! And he's been first team since the beginning of the show. That's awesome! And like, he can appreciate other team members. Remember him telling Jackson to chill out, and accept Scott as the co-captain because Scott had talent? Like he actually wants what's best for the team.
• He's apparently going to be getting a bigger role in season 3. Think about all we could find out. Like, why exactly was he arrested? How did he get out of the charges? How did he get so good with computers? What's his family like? How will he cope with Jackson leaving? What is his family like? Where did he get his fake ID from? What is the significance of his last name? ALL THESE THINGS TO FIND OUT.
• DON'T YOU WANT TO BE AHEAD OF THE CURVE AND BE HIS NO. 1 FAN BEFORE HE GETS MORE SCREEN TIME. COME ON. BE ~TRENDY~.
• He's such a cutie. Seriously. One word. DIMPLES.
• He has a great body too.
• TL;DR: He's a nice! He's smart! He has tech skills! He likes to date! He's a team player! He's attractive!

Also, there is some pretty amazing Danny POV fic out there. Granted, I've only read Danny/Stiles because despite their problematic interactions in the show, I like them, ok. But like, the fics! A lot are in Danny POV, and while not gen fics, still focus on development of Danny's character. THERE IS SO MUCH POTENTIAL IN DANNY FIC BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH WE DON'T KNOW. Come on! Join the Danny fandom!

**It is important to acknowledge here, that no matter your personal headcanon, or any hints that cast/crew have given about Stiles' sexuality, in the show Danny thinks that Stiles is a straight guy. In that whole ~am I attractive to gay guys~ interaction, it's Danny's perception that matters. Okay? Okay.
