Does anyone else have conversations with their dog in which the dog is trying to be helpful but also gives you a little sass?

I respect the choices made by vegans and vegetarian not to eat meat.  What I don’t respect is their attitude (some of them not all), sometimes I will encounter a vegan who tells me that they heard that I claim to love animals but I am not vegan, so therefore I don’t truly love animals or have any respect for life.  Really? Just an oddball thought on perspective.... If an American were to see a news story on tv about the starving homeless in India, many people would just say "why do they need to starve?
